Michigan Ave. under the Bluewater Bridge is closed for a massive road reconstruction project, but don’t worry, you will still have access to your fries under the bridge.

Cope Construction is rebuilding Michigan from Livingston St. to the waterfront for the next seven weeks.

Lambton County officials say the $400,000 project includes new sewers, water mains, curbs and cutters and a new street. The project is being done in conjunction with the Village of Point Edward.

County works officials say access to both Livington St. and the park on the St. Clair River will be open, but drivers will have to follow the detour signs to get to the famous French fry trucks which attract thousands of people each summer.

The construction project is one of $9-million worth of projects approved this year by the county.
