[edit]"SC isn’t an editor who speaks brusquely or tactlessly, and accidentally offends. This is an editor who easily takes offense, but can't seem to hold their own tongue.
" This is a personal attack which carries no diffs and falls outside the rest of the evidence. It really should be struck. – SchroCat (talk) 10:04, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
- @SchroCat, if you believe this doesn't follow from the evidence, you can respond in the workshop, which is still open. -- asilvering (talk) 15:32, 18 April 2026 (UTC)

you are expected to air them without being incivil or engaging in personal attacks, and to respond calmly to allegations against you.Accusations of misbehaviour posted in this case must be proven with clear evidence (and otherwise not made at all).
" Much of the evidence against me doesn't come close to this level of incivility, but this is being allowed to stand? Interesting. - SchroCat (talk) 16:04, 18 April 2026 (UTC)- "SchroCat is rude to others, but demands that others be civil to him" is a description of your conduct that is either a true statement or not a true statement, and you're welcome to challenge it in the workshop. It is not a personal attack. If it were worded more like "SchroCat is a giant asshole", sure, that would be crossing a line and we'd be asking GLL to rein it in. -- asilvering (talk) 02:48, 19 April 2026 (UTC)

[edit]I notice that you recently indefinitely blocked the user EALeditor. The users Epik-Awesome-Links and Lithdamist are clearly the same individual (they have all been editing User:Lithdamist/sandbox). I'm not sure what the typical admin action is in this situation - they could be easily labeled as "Clearly not here to build an encyclopedia" like EALeditor - but thought you might like to at least know. Regards, Marbletan (talk) 14:04, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Marbletan: I'd bet that it's a group of schoolmates. While EALeditor (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) got bored and started vandalising, Epik-Awesome-Links (t c) has been harmless so far, while Lithdamist (t c) even made some constructive edits. I'll leave them be. DatGuyTalkContribs 14:09, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, this is Lithdamist here, I made EALeditor as an account intended to get my friends into editing Wikipedia. I specifically instructed them MULTIPLE TIMES to not vandalize any article or harass anyone as that could get the account banned. I told them to start by using the Suggested Edits feature on Wikipedia, and when they're ready to move on, they could start adding paragraphs and sentences. But it seems they didn't listen. When I heard that they've used EALeditor to vandalize the KFC article, I was extremely angry and frustrated. Thinking that EALeditor, as well as my main account, was at risk of getting blocked. Then they proceeded to use my main account when they got their hands on my school laptop to commit further atrocities. I am so sorry for not being able to stop them, for not preventing them from harassing anyone, and for giving the OK to let them edit anything outside of Sandbox mode. I would've never expected them to hurt anyone or vandalize anything. I will promise to never let them on Wikipedia again until they learn their lesson and are educated enough to not harass or vandalize anyone. I love Wikipedia and I am eager to continue building this encyclopedia, and my friends are willing to as well. I just need to educate them a bit further to ensure nothing like this ever happens again. I am asking you to forgive me, and my friends, for every wrongdoing they have done to this awesome platform. I promise this will never happen again, and when my friends are back, we will change this platform for the better. Just like I have for over 4 months.
- Hope you have a good day.
- Sincerely,
- Lithdamist Lithdamist (talk) 01:30, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
- And it seems they published our private project on my sandbox page on to the public as well... Lithdamist (talk) 01:48, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
- That's what I suspected. In the future I'd recommend letting your friends create their accounts by themselves, as not to get yourself accidentally caught up in any of their misconduct. DatGuyTalkContribs 10:14, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
Administrators' newsletter – May 2026
[edit]News and updates for administrators from the past month (April 2026).

Interface administrator changes
- Changes to user permissions made from Meta are now included in the local user permissions log (T6055).
- The autoconfirmed user group will soon be modified such that the four-day account age requirement begins when an account makes its first edit (T418484).
- The arbitration case SchroCat has been opened. Evidence submissions in this case closed on 15 April.
- Per a recent motion, appeals of blocks from the conflict-of-interest VRT queue are, by default, appealed on-wiki through the normal unblock process. However, they may be heard by the Committee if COIVRTers disagree on the interpretation of the evidence or believe ArbCom would be better suited to hear the appeal. Administrators are also advised that loosening or lifting such blocks without the consent of someone with access to the queue or ArbCom can be grounds for desysopping.
- Per a recent motion, restrictions issued directly by the Committee may now be enforced with blocks which work exactly like contentious topic blocks.
- The arbitration case Maghreb has been closed.
- The May 2026 administrator elections are scheduled to run from April 29 to May 19. The call for candidates ends May 5.
- The 2026 Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) election is scheduled to run from April 25 to June 1. Candidacy submissions close on May 10.
- A new noticeboard for non-urgent, batch page protection requests has been created, primarily for the enforcement of contentious topic restrictions.
A barnstar for you!

JMF's edit summary
[edit]Hi there, JMF's edit summaries are typos, unlike by comparing IvanScrooge98's edit summaries are lack of incivility, Wikipedia as a battleground and content ownership. ~2026-28867-32 (talk) 11:55, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
- @~2026-28867-32: loutsocking is not encouraging for other administrators when you claim you haven't socked for over a year. Appeal from your most recent account, or your original one. DatGuyTalkContribs 10:29, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
The block evasion continues from multiple IP accounts (and typically, are silly edits to the SD). See history of Mewar–Malwa conflicts.
Whack-a-mole so our call.--𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 15:07, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- Just in case there is more that one puppeteer in action [how likely is that?
], I believe that "my" one is Absolutiva (aka SwissArmyGuy), who may not be the one you are dealing with here? --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 15:28, 14 May 2026 (UTC) - I considered protecting the page, but you'll most likely be followed to another. You're correct, it's probably a whack-a-mole situation. DatGuyTalkContribs 20:56, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- I see I misremembered who was whacking which mole. See user talk: ScottishFinnishRadish#~2026-29067-93.
- I don't mind reverting every time they try to reimpose their desired version with a wp:bmb notice. Hopefully they will eventually see that it pointless and go off to X to howl at the moon instead. Spending your time on blocking their many ip addresses is just feeding their attention-seeking behaviour. No need to protect this one page as they are all over the place.
