    For clarity: 2 of my daughters jogged to sea, swam 20 minutes & jogged home. They are on Front page. The Daily Mail is cross. But Exercise once per day is good. They said I can share because they want people to know they are obeying the rules. #Eastbourne #Exercise. Stay strong.

    3 years ago today: I started urgent treatment here for #myeloma & cardiac #amyloidosis. I've been lucky. #stemcelltransplant, on-off work with pandemic + new hip. Lovely to be back here as an #NHS surgeon doing clinical work! (& I've unleashed my new hair - wild chemo curls...)

    Woo-hoo. A year ago I couldn't climb a flight of stairs. Today I climbed up #Snowdon (very slowly and very slow/wobbly down)! #Myeloma & cardiac #amyloidosis. I'm putting my re-found fitness down to an electric-bike ride every day. (But chemo helped too, thanks @ESHTNHS & @uclh)

    Nice article by @HelenRSalisbury in @bmj_latest. Punitive tax now on future pensions is driving many experienced #NHS doctors to retire early or work less. But we want to work. @Jeremy_Hunt can fix this. @goldstone_tony and @TheBMA have explained how.

    Just leaving @uclh after 2+ weeks as an in-patient. Great #NHS staff. Excellent care. I'm "fixed" for now. (I started medical school here 36 years ago, so feel connected.) Thank you! #Myeloma and cardiac #amyloidosis.

    I'm out. 100 days since hip replacement. 501 days since #stemcelltransplant. Our #NHS is awesome! Electric-bikes are magic (prehab/rehab) and #Eastbourne is lovely.

    Daughter going to medical school today! Hard-working & amazing. Also: 3rd generation woman @Cambridge_Uni (Her grandmother, History, 1954 @MECCambridge, in centre of pic 1. Me, clinical medicine, 1987 @TrinCollCamb) I'm so proud. Fab future doctor!
