I have been developing in PHP for over 10 years, and recently I wanted to start a blog, but I wanted to do it via my personal site, so I could learn the WP install process and manage the whole thing myself. This would also give me much more control and flexibility over the content.
I recently wrote my first WP Plugin “Headit” because I have been bringing my own knowledge up-to-date with regard to HTTP security, and found that no plugins existed (that I could find) that would allow me to set my own HTTP headers. I could do this manually within the code, but that isn’t very pretty, and other people are likely to have encountered the same issue, so I decided to make a plugin.
