2004

Transnational Corporation Plc (“Transcorp”) Formerly known as Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc was incorporated to rival western conglomerates and provide long term shareholder value and socio-economic impact.

2011

Heirs Holdings acquires majority of the Transcorp shares and becomes a core investor in the brand. Under the leadership of Heirs Holdings, Transcorp has experience significant growth, diversified her portfolio and is constantly making strides to improve lives and transform the nation.

2013

Transcorp Acquired 972MW installed capacity, gasfired, single cycle power generating plant located in Ughelli, Delta State. Following the Plant’s acquisition by Transcorp Group, Transcorp Power surpassed its generation target of 670MW well before the 5-year timeline set for all GenCos by the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) and was successfully delisted from companies that will continue to be subjected to post privatisation monitoring by BPE.

2018

Transcorp Hotels Plc completed the 100 million dollars upgrade of the iconic Transcorp Hilton Abuja. The upgrade of the facility saw the hotel launching exciting new features including the upgrade of all 670 rooms in the facility, lobbys and other shared areas (e.g the gym), facility equiptments, digitalisation of several features, modern landscaping, new parking areas and a parking management systems.

Transcorp Hotels Plc also fufilled all post privatisation obligations shortly after.

2020

Transcorp, following it’s emergence as the preferred bider for the Afam genco acquired the 966MW total installed capacity Plant in 2020. With this acquisition, Transcorp Group increased its installed capacity to nearly 2000MW and continues to work toward recovering more of the installed capacity of the Plant. This acquisition also came with many advantages including closeness to gas supply, sufficient evaluation capacity and brand new 240 MW Afam Three Fast Power turbines.
