In Deep Water by Elle Blair

4 stars Release date 2nd July 2026 In deep water was a stunning debut and I’m hoping the start to a series, as the main character Rachel was fantastic. She was very likeable and easy to relate to, especially with her far from perfect life. I love the setting, having been on cruises myself in the past, it took me right back. Not sure I’d have liked to be on Rachel’s cruise though, mine were far less eventful. The story was split into two parts, land and sea, telling two stories that came together beautifully. I loved several of the … Continue reading In Deep Water by Elle Blair

Against the tide by G. D. Wright

5 stars Release Date 18th June 2026 Against the tide throws you straight into the action and the story that unfolds between the pages is harrowing, heartbreaking and utterly gripping. If you’ve never read anything by G D Wright before you’re seriously missing out. I have read all of his novels now and they are all superb. It was great to rejoin with old characters and to meet brand new ones. The author writes each character with care and really made me engage with their stories. The book was full of twists and turns and kept me hooked. There are … Continue reading Against the tide by G. D. Wright

The One Day You Were My Husband by Rosie Walsh

It felt very real and very comforting in contrast with the other timeline. The whole book had me gripped. The Traveler by Joseph Eckert

3.5 stars Release date 11th June 2026 The blurb reads like it’s a thriller but it’s actually sci-fi, not my usual type of book at all but I still read it to the end. Some of the more technical science jargon went straight over my head but it was a beautiful story about family, primarily a Father & Son, Scott & Lyle. One morning at 7:51, Scott jumps forward in time by a whole day in a instant. This continues to happen each day doubling the time slips each time. He has no choice but to leave his family behind … Continue reading The Traveler by Joseph Eckert

Liar Liar by Luca Veste

5 stars Release Date 4th June 2026 Luca Veste was a brand new author for me, not only had I never read anything by him, I’d never heard of him either. What a fantastic book Liar Liar was!! It drops you right into the action from page 1 and was full of twists and turns but was also a slow gradual story that just kept building. Each time I thought I knew where it was going, I’d be taken in a completely different direction. I read it mostly in big chunks as it was so difficult to put down. I … Continue reading Liar Liar by Luca Veste

Caller Unknown by Gillian McAllister

5 stars Release date 9th April 2026 This book was gripping, edgy, compelling but most of all full of love. The Mother/Daughter bond between Simone and Lucy was tender, gentle, fierce & courageous, to list just a few of the feelings that I got. The story was beautifully written and really pulled me in. It gave me goosebumps several times and left me on the edge of my seat, needing to know what happened next. Love oozed from the pages and the bond between Mother and Daughter was so strong and expressed so well. Yet at the same time the … Continue reading Caller Unknown by Gillian McAllister

The Ending Writes Itself by Evelyn Clarke

5 stars Publication date 9th April 2026 When I heard the premise, a story about authors finishing a story, I knew I had to read it. As a writer and hopefully a published author one day, I was elated to get accepted for an arc on Netgalley after seeing the Instagram campaign. I was even more excited when I found out who Evelyn Clarke really is as I’ve read most of Cat Clarke’s books and loved them all. This book was a story full of excitement, twists and atmosphere. I loved the alternating POVs and how each authors section took … Continue reading The Ending Writes Itself by Evelyn Clarke

My Mother’s Lie by Anna E. Collins

5 stars This book was fantastic, full of twists that kept me gripped. I didn’t guess the direction, in which the story was taking. The story was very well structured to give bits and pieces away and lay lots of clues. I loved the way the characters developed and the journey that the main character, Frankie went on. I really struggled to put this down and constantly felt compelled to read a bit more. I’ll definitely read more by this author. Continue reading My Mother’s Lie by Anna E. Collins

The way I loved you by Fiona Lucas

4 stars Release Date 12th March 2026 I love Fiona Lucas’ books, however I didn’t enjoy this one as much as others by her. Having said that I still inhaled it and found it extremely hard to put down. It’s a speculative romance involving time travel. I always love anything with time travel so this was a big draw for me. The romance between Jess and Luke felt very realistic especially for a couple celebrating 10 years together. I did struggle to fully engage at times though. Overall I enjoyed the story, loved the characters (most of the time) and … Continue reading The way I loved you by Fiona Lucas

The shadow carver by Nadine Matheson

4 stars Release Date 12th February 2026 The Shadow Carver was a very twisty, dark thriller and the 4th book in the Inspector Anjelica Henley series. Having loved the first 3 books, I couldn’t wait to get stuck into this one and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The book picked up from where the last book left off and back stories all ran through the new case.Matheson introduced us to a new police character in this story, she made quite the first impression. I hope to read more about her in future books as I’ve a feeling that there is some secrets … Continue reading The shadow carver by Nadine Matheson

The girl with the baby by Sam Vickery

She made me do it by Anna-Lou Weatherley

5 stars Wow, this book takes you right into the action from the very first chapter. I can’t think of a reason why you’d not want to read on after reading that opening chapter. The book carries on with the same high pace all the way through. There certainly wasn’t a dull moment.I was kept guessing right till the end, the book was full of drama and twists. I loved it.Even though this book is part of a series, it can definitely be read as a standalone. Release date 12th January 2026 Publisher Bookouture Continue reading She made me do it by Anna-Lou Weatherley
