About Performance and peace of mind object caching in WordPress

My name is Till Krüss, and I created and maintain Redis Object Cache, the free WordPress plugin now running on more than 400,000 sites worldwide.

After five years of working with hundreds of businesses, agencies, and clients, one thing became clear: object caching in WordPress needs to be more reliable.

I kept hearing about the same elusive, hard-to-diagnose problems — lost conversions, failed credit card charges, inconsistent behavior, and other issues that were difficult to trace back to the cache layer. For businesses built on WordPress, these are more than technical inconveniences: they affect revenue, trust, and day-to-day operations.

So I set out to build an object caching solution grounded in years of real-world experience with WordPress at scale, with a simple goal: give business owners and developers a cache they can depend on.

After months of development, hundreds of automated tests, and a careful production rollout with a group of early adopters, Object Cache Pro was born — a reliable, highly optimized, and easy-to-debug object cache built from the ground up for performance-critical sites.

Its architecture is designed to be fast, future-proof, and straightforward for extension or customization. The opt-in logging module surfaces practical insight into caching behavior, making the most stubborn heisenbugs quick to identify and resolve.
