the tour is over. [30 Aug 2008|06:37pm]
[ mood | BERJAYA anxious ]
[ music | JACKS MANNEQUIN ]

HELLO ALL!

Well, the tour is over. Only a few more hours left... Paper Route were great as usual and the some of the guys and I just got offstage from rockin' with Phantom Planet. Since when did I start using correct usage of capital letters in LJ posts? it stops here.

i'm stoked to watch Jack's Mannequin tonight. i think they go on in about 10 minutes so i still have a little time left to finish this. this tour has gone by so quickly. 5 weeks felt like 2. we've done a lot of really cool things on the tour... i'm really happy with the way we did meet and greets. for once in a long time we actually got to hang out with people and talk to people passed "can i have a picture?" or "how are you?" thank you to everyone who came out to those. we loved it. one of my favorite nights was in cleveland.. hanging out behind the buses with the few dozen people that hung around til later after the show. again, i think just being able to have meaningful conversation with different people was rad and felt different than most times when we have to abide by certain time frames and "rules" like so many other meet and greets or contest winner type things. one other ridiculous moment for the band on this tour was playing a show with John Mayer. not only did we get to share a bill but he came out and played on "When It Rains". i thought he sounded perfect. especially during his set. his band was flawless and as always his voice was even better live than it sounds on the records.

let's see... what other cool things can we recap? OH! what about receiving our platinum records!? that just happened yesterday. i still don't really believe it. like i said during last night's show, we'll post pictures as soon as we get some back. none of us had our cameras on us... jeremy might've gotten a picture on his new iphone. haha maybe he'll post on on .net

speaking of iphones. i will not fall prisoner to the new 3G. sorry mr. steve jobs... i'm stickin with my sidekick. quick story though... all week the guys were trying to pressure me into the new iphone. they all said "you'll have one by the time we leave NYC!" and of course i put my nose up to the sky! then, i'm hangin out in the city... tryin to get to Red Bamboo (faaaantastic vegan/veggie food - nope, i'm neither) and i get out of the cab and what do you know... my sidekick LX stayed put in the backseat of that taxi and for all i know it's joyride has yet to end. now, i'm without my friend. you have no idea the amounts of pressure i'm still under to buy the 3G but i will not bend or break. SIDEKICK PRIDE!!! so now, i'm on the hunt for a new one. i'm thinking i'll get it in LA next week. til then, my granny let me borrow her celly - THANKS GRANNY!!!

tomorrow we have a flight to seattle. we're playing a big festival... bumbershoot, i believe! i'm siked to play with death cab for cutie. this will be the first time we've gotten to share a bill with those guys. hopefully, they'll play a good bit off of the photo album. that was always my favorite. ben gibbards lyrics slay me.

hey! Jack's Mannequin just went on. I GOTTA GO! i'll post again soon. love you all. THANKS FOR A GREAT TOUR!

love,
h(ayley)2O

disclaimer: i'm not depressed. i'm actually severely happy. [17 Aug 2008|02:03am]
[ mood | BERJAYA sleepy ]

but... i was just thinkin about life. i was thinkin a little about "fame" and "celebrity" (what a great nsync record). this is not about to be some crazy profound thing. you're not going to get smarter nor will i look much smarter to you after reading this post... i'm just saying, i was thinkin... and i wanted to write about it.

the past year and a half has not been easy or hard. honestly, i can't remember much of it because it went by too fast for me to understand what was actually going on. it still surprises me when i hear one of our songs on the radio or see a picture of us in a magazine. i still don't get why the hell someone would care to have one of our signatures on something of theirs haha. on a daily basis, we are asked, if not by a journalist then by a fan, what it feels like to be famous and yet i still draw a blank every time. because, to me, we are just the same. the only true difference between the life we lived before riot and the life we live now is that every little thing. every. insignificant. thing. that we do is cared for in some way. whether it be concern, obsession, hate, a genuine interest or delight... everyone has their opinion and we hear them all at some point. i really don't mind listening. yes, it can get old. it can be humorous or enraging or just plain sad... nothing changes the fact that there's always someone out there coming up with new theories about us, new ideas so that they can get a grip or put a handle on who we are. i might sound bitter but actually i'm just a little bit fascinated. i still haven't really figured out what it means to be known of but not understood in any way shape or form. i could fill a hundred pages of lyrics, poetry, broken thoughts and still never be understood even the slightest. it's a good thing. i just don't get it yet.

life has never been so exciting and so wonder-full. the greatest part is not understanding it. not being able to tell what's next. everyone wants what they can't have but when i look back on days i thought i wanted something completely different than all of this - i can see how stupid that was. how selfish i was to ever try putting myself in someone else's story. (neverending stooryyyyy!!! ... sorry).

to sum up these scattered thoughts i would like to say this: when we think we know people inside out and we think we know what's best for them we should try to remember we don't even know what's best for ourselves.

WIN A DATE WITH ME/FBR NEWSLETTER! [14 Aug 2008|01:32am]
[ mood | awake ]
[ music | "I Wont Let Me" - Descendents ]

apparently, there's a radio station in rhode island offering callers a chance to win a date with me. WHOA!? i mean, they could be talking about tickets to the show; trying to play it up to be funny. not so funny if people believe it, though.

just wanted to clear everything up... let you guys know... no one will be winning a date with anybody in our band. but it is pretty funny to think that somewhere in rhode island some kid has the station on speed dial thinking it's true. alright, maybe not!

this tour is a blast. we are headed to NYC for a day off tomorrow before going to z100 the next morning to do some acoustic performance. should be a good time. i am loving acoustic performances more and more. i wish we had more to do! i dunno what we're gonna do with ourselves having a whole day off in the city. i love new york. maybe i'll make a trash and vaudeville visit. (like i need more clothes... NOPE!!!) think i'm gonna hang with mr. john janick... the dude that makes it all happen. it's been a while since we've hung with him and he's always a lot of fun to talk to about music with. plus, we all share a love for pinkberry. YES!

after NYC it's on to philly. one of our favorite cities to play. nothing like south street. i wonder if we're playing there this time? i don't think so for some reason... but i hardly ever look at our schedule i just get on the bus and go with everyone.

today was my baby sis' first day of school. is summer seriously over?! my mom just told me that i used to beg her to pack salads for me in kindergarten for lunch hahah i don't remember that. what kind of little kid wants salads for lunch? what happened to lunchables? anyone here remember lunchables? haha the pizza kind were ridiculous. but by the time i hit middle school i was a cafeteria food eatin' kid. i would always forget to bring lunch money and have to have them put it on my school credit. so, i owed like 50 bucks by the end of each month haha. what a loser, hayley. speaking of all of this, my yearbook photo comes out tomorrow. joy.

every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end. [13 Aug 2008|12:07am]
CHI-TOWN! CHI-TOWN!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the show tonight. This was the best show of the tour so far.

As you might have heard - or maybe you didnt? - we filmed the show tonight for a DVD that we hope to release later this year. We had original plans to shoot the show in Central Park next week but due to complications with our production set up and the venue, we had to change locations. I have to say, at first we were a little disappointed cause we were counting on NYC but now that we've filmed the show and played Chicago we are MORE than stoked that tonight was the night.

I realized before we came out for encore that it was here that we played our first ever headlining show, in 2006. So, it's even more special that we had to switch to tonight to film. Just feels right.

I gotta run cause we're about to leave and I wanna go hang with some people from the show. They've been hangin outside for a while now. Just to let you guys know we got our PARAMORE RIOT BOOKS in tonight. They pretty much serve the same purpose as a year book. TONS AND TONS of pics and lyric sheets, production notes from The Final Riot Tour. And member bios. Ryan Russell did all the photos for the book... we know how much we all love that dude. So check em out at the merch booth, we think you'll be stoked on em.

GOTTA RUN!

TWO SURF BOARDS! (should've made this post earlier, sorry!) [10 Aug 2008|01:09am]
[ music | Bjork - In The Musicals ]

THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR WINNING US TWO TEEN CHOICE AWARDS!
Best Rock Track with "crushcrushcrush" and Best Rock Group!

these are the first awards we've ever won as a band and we're stoked about it.

we just got back on the bus and we're headed for the V-Fest. playing with Nine Inch Nails... woohooo!!!
i'm really gonna have to get some sleep since we're playing so much earlier in the day than usual (around 2pm, i think??). but really, we all just wanted to drop by and tell you guys how much we appreciate the ridiculous support. on top of the teen choice craziness, we've been getting all kind of updates on our video stats on the VMA voting site. thank you guys for all of it. awards really have nothing to do with why our band is a band but being supported to this extent is indescribable. we will see you guys on tour!!!

love,
ALL OF US!

yesterday, we floated down the buffalo river... in canoes. it was a 6 mile journey of which we tackled with such a tenacity we might've been mistaken for a gang of modern day pirates. who knows?! i only had enough battery to take and send one picture of the little picnic we had on a river bank... you can check it out on our mobile stream at paramore.net!

needless to say, our couple of off days have been nice. josh and zac traveled home and the rest of us just did what we do best... hang out and be pirates. i got a call around 7am (which is not a good hour for me) from josh saying that all the flights were cancelled and he didn't know what they were going to do about getting to arkansas. lucky for all of us, our friend brandon - who's filming for a little DVD we're putting out later this year - is heading this way and he hadn't left yet... so josh and zac are taking the road trip with him and will make it in time. hopefully, they'll be here before meet and greet!

little rock is a really nice place. we haven't spent much time here as a band. most of you will know, this is jeremy's hometown. he knows it like the back of his hand; he's got stories to tell for every corner of just about every street. it's really cool seeing a bit of his stomping grounds. hopefully, we'll have time outside of press today to walk around and enjoy some of the city. there are all kind of funky shops... places i could get into some trouble at if i don't keep a close guard on my per diem!

hi again. [02 Aug 2008|05:53pm]
[ mood | BERJAYA yeah sweet leaf ]

mesa, arizona is scorching hot!!! my pale-ness is in a state of shock. SPF 1000 alert!!! haha

i finally finished new moon today (2nd in the twilight saga). i have been struggling through it due to the on-off-ness of our touring state the past few months. i missed the breaking dawn party last night at borders... probably a good thing because i would've been so excited the temptation to skip right over eclipse and tear into breaking dawn would've overcome me and then what kind of mess would i be in?? so anyways, now i'm a chapter into the 3rd book and the 4th will be waiting on me when i get home. (i reserved a copy - YES!) i'm stoked for the twilight movie. i think it's gonna be really good. i'm definitely going to dress up as a vampire to go see it. wanna fight about it?

tomorrow is a drive day and we'll be headed somewhere between here and little rock to stay the night, before we have another day off in little rock. jeremy's taking us canoeing or something which i'm way too excited for. he's been trying to take us on that trip since 2004 when we started playing shows outside TN. we'll make sure to take some good pics of that for you guys. it's about time we update our myspace photo section anyways.

our first band BBQ is happening today at the fan club M&G.; we are stoked. it's about time we organized these types of things. it makes it more fun for us and more personal for you guys, i think. i couldn't stand the tables or the lines... that's for a festival setting. for our own shows we'd like to think it's possible that we can always talk to you guys and have real connection on and off the stage. i know times change but... we'll keep resisting haha.

anyone out there hailing from manila, philippines? NFG is playing a festival or something there tonight with a whole bunch of other bands. if anyone is going... ransack the stage and give chad a big ol' bear hug for me. okay don't really do that... it's possible you could get into trouble, it's a pretty big festival. um let's see, there has to be another option. maybe a sign? "hayley says 'hi"??? umm... well, whatever, if you're going just have a great time! they're gonna be so awesome!!!

alright i'm out haha. that movie shooter just came on. marky mark wahlberg is tearin it up!

hello loves,

5 days into the tour, 3 shows - 4th tonight in San Diego. i'm so stoked to be here. i spent yesterday in Los Angeles hangin with some friends. went to Amoeba Music! grabbed In and Out and saw Stepbrothers. what a great day off. (i guess i'm only capitalizing proper nouns, here).

so, the reason i'm posting today is actually to let you guys know that we are running a contest with Sweet Leaf tea. mmm so yummy! together, we are flying two winners out to our show at Central Park in NYC!!! keep looking out for details... either here or at www.sweetleaftea.com!

i have to go soundcheck, sorry this is so short - i'll be posting more regularly once we really get into the tour. thanks so much to everyone who's already come out to a show or has already bought tickets to an upcoming show. we're having a blast so far and it's only gonna get better.

okay, really gotta run! laterrr

we're on tour! oh, how i missed it.

i apologize for the lack of updates. time literally flew out from under us... 2 1/2 weeks goes by a lot quicker now days. during our time off i saw about a million movies, including Hellboy 2 - i liked the first one better but as far as graphics go it couldn't touch the new one - and the record breaking, mind blowing, The Dark Knight - which ruled, as you've probably heard a thousand times by now. i also went to Guitar Hero's portion of the e3 conference in LA and got to talk a little about my involvement in the 4th game, "World Tour". i'd never been to a press conference like that and it was really cool to go to one that revolved around something different than what paramore would usually be a part of. the guys and i are really excited to see what happens with the game and play the heck out of it when it's released. the new game has all the instruments - so all of us can play together and whoever is "singing" can be my character... haha i'll be so intrigued and embarrassed at the same time. while we were in la, chadball took me to runyon canyon. it's this intense hiking trail up the highest hills in hollywood. i posted a couple pics on our mobile stream on paramore.net - check that shiz out if you got time! lastly, the guys and i saw a band called Ours at Exit/In two nights ago... it was a cool thing cause the first birthday gift i ever got from josh and zac was the second Ours record called "Precious". sadly, they played a grand total of "0" songs from that record and i was pretty bummed but Jimmy's voice still kicked my ass. so, that's basically everything that happened in my life over the past 2 weeks - did you even want to know? haha oh and one more thing - i partook in a 1000 piece puzzle of marilyn monroe having a bubble bath. find it at walmart. there... now THAT is everything. what a pointless post.

on to things that really really matter. we have a show for you guys!
we're so excited... to be honest, i'm expecting a lot of technical difficulties in the first few shows and or me messing up parts and forgetting lyrics but it's all part of the fun that will be the final riot tour. if you haven't bought tickets yet, make it happen cause we really want to make this tour special. we might even be filming this tour - shows and behind the scenes, tour bus stuff, etc. for a release in the near future. never know what might happen. ;)

more updates coming soon.

HELLO!

warped is ruling. two days in and i'm wishing we had longer to go. the set felt good today... aside from wanting to collapse from the heat, we had a blast. it's a bit sad we aren't doing any signings or anything this year. last year there was so much going on and this warped we are in and then right back out. man, i love this tour. saw katy perry and say anything today... both really good sets - after that, the rain scared me away so i didn't catch oreska band but i will tomorrow. and i have yet to get to a BBQ but i'm hoping that will happen tomorrow night!

KHTS Morning Show in the morning, so if you live in the Dallas area, check that shiz out ;)

alright - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is on, i haven't seen the end so here i go...

WARPED TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh my goodness gracious. i'm ecstatic. tomorrow morning, bright and early... we'll be on warped grounds. i can't believe it. i wait all year for this. in other news, our bunks have bed bugs. a few of us woke up with bites all over our feet. it's the worst feeling in the world haha. so annoying. 75% positive we are switching buses tomorrow. posi bro.

tonight was fun. we played summerfest in milwaukee along with the dollyrots who we haven't shared the stage with since warped 2005 - exactly 3 years ago - on the shira stage. the set went really well. the miracle outro was really fun tonight, as well as my heart. i feel like we're really connected in those songs. the warped set will be a blast. lots of energy... as usual for warped. we easily have the ugliest scrims (stage props/artwork) to ever be witnessed on any stage ever. i can't wait for them to make their warped debut.

annnnnddd at some point today taylor might have gotten his nose pierced. then i miiight have decided to get my septum pierced right after that. who knows? maybe, maybe not.

SEE YOU GUYS TOMORROW!!!! AHHHH!!!!

thanks to everyone on the birthday wishes for RIOT!
it's so hard to believe the record's been out for a year and a day. we've been able to experience so much within one single year... it makes my head spin. we never thought the record would do what it's done. we have you to thank for all of it!
_____________________________________________

before i get into what we've been up to on our off day. i wanna say a few things about yesterday. [edit: read it slowly if you don't wanna get dizzy.]

i woke up in a Swedish forest. hahah. it was so crazy. i looked out my bunk window to find that i was surrounded by seemingly mythical trees. straight up Treebeard status!!! we had a crazy amount of press/promotion which turned out to be a lot of fun due to the fact that there were a lot of fans hangin out for most of it. then, our buddies in Jimmy Eat World showed up mid-way through the day and we got to chat with them for a bit. (we are so lucky to have toured with them!!!) after that, we were introduced to a man who's written at least a million of your favorite songs from your kid-hood, Max Martin. (google him, now!)

when the time came to play, we made our way to the stage and were met by Tom Morello - coughRageAgainstThe Machinecough. he'd seen us back in the AWKIF days at the 2006 Warped Pre-Party at the Key Club and he'd come out to see us play again! that's a stand up fella. he watched the majority of the set, which of course inspired us to be even rowdier than usual and then he left to prepare for Rage's set.

i caught a few songs from JEW's set before running over in a fine frenzy to catch Rage. they were incredible. so much larger than life. to keep this from getting any longer, Tom came toward us during "Sleep Now In The Fire" and applauded us, saying he enjoyed our show... which was only topped by the fact that he did this all while still playing his parts perfectly. stupid good. check out some pics of their set from sidestage on paramore.net (in the mobile stream section). all in all the night was incredible. we met some incredibly talented people (oh, i forgot to name drop Anti-Flag... Mr. Justin Sane - best dude ever... ok, name dropping complete), we played a great show, and hung out in a forest while on tour. awesome.

this is the part where i apologize. no, not for that...... just FOR NAME DROPPING SO MUCH UP THERE.

wow, this is so long. but i'll keep going anyway.
we spent today in Oslo, Norway. hangin out with trolls and vikings and doing things that trolls and vikings do.
like search for a vegetarian restaurant for an hour before giving up and going to Friday's. (aaron and i thought we could eat better for the remainder of the tour and i was attempting to look out for my throat a little better by cutting dairy as well). unfortunately, we haven't run into many options in the way of vegetarian/vegan so we have chosen to resign. i'll start over when i'm home and can get to Sam and Zoes!!! if you live in the Franklin/Nashville area, check it out.

i bought some sweet Norwegian souvenirs; just little odds and ends for a friend who's birth father was from norway. she was actually in the TWYG video, pulling aaron away from his girlfriend, jenna? (who, by the way, really is his gf in real life... woohoo). and tonight all of us - band AND crew - had a nice family dinner at the local hard rock cafe.

so, next stop: the Norwegian Wood Festival! this is our first trip to norway, so we're really looking forward to meeting some fans and introducing ourselves to a brand new audience.

[ music | Ebay Revenge - ISHC hahahahah ]

so... i've decided to do this. it was only half thought out but i'm doin it anyways.

i saw that post someone made about the "handwritten book" on ebay. yes, it's mine. hahah. i don't remember being a sad child but i definitely loved horror films at a really young age. i guess that was reflected in this particular assignment. anyway, that's not exactly what i'm posting about. i'm actually posting about the seller of this item. it happens to be my ex-stepfather. who is... well... insane, hence the reason he is my EX-stepfather. so, while i can laugh at the fact that a bit of my past has surfaced, i have to admit i felt like throwin shit when i saw the username. to be honest, i'd love to post his full name. where he works. possibly a phone number??? then all of you could show him what it feels like when your personal life is out there for everyone to put their hands on. fortunately for him... living with him for 7 years wasn't quite enough to make me turn out just like him... or was it?
don't buy it. i'm gonna buy it. hahaha.

ALRIGHT!

here it is :) as promised. hope everyone has had (or is having - if you're in the US) a great day. so last night was a great show!!! thanks to everyone who came out and had a good time with us. it was a really special night. no reason in particular other than it just felt really awesome. we did play an outro to "Miracle" which i noticed you guys were talking about in the community. we started writing that right before the Jimmy tour. in fact, we spent an entire day of supposed practice just jamming on that song and improvising. it feels good, you know? we don't ever play it live but after playing "Miracle" last night, i guess josh just felt like doing it so he started and we sorta chimed in :) it's always fun to do that sorta thing in shows. it keeps us from getting stuck in a certain way of doing things. keeps us fresh. glad to hear you guys liked it! the whole show was so much fun. i took my in-ears out for "Misery Business" just so i could hear everyone and i swear i thought i was gonna go deaf. the crowd was so intense and so loud. we had a blast. also, thanks to everyone who waited around after the show to hang for what few seconds we got to talk and sign.

backtracking just a little bit, Dublin ruled. our first trip to Ireland couldn't have been any better. 6,000 people? are you kidding me? it was huge for us. we also were presented with gold records for RIOT! YES! we went gold in Ireland! definitely a really cool night for the guys and i. can't wait to go back!

alright,
cologne, germany i gorgeous. you can see a few pictures that i took on our mobile stream on paramore.net of the cathedral. it was so crazy... we walked all the way up the spiral-y steep steps to the top by the bell tower. we basically walked to the clouds, if you're wondering how high it was. my legs started hurting pretty bad but it was so worth it! when we got to the top i started thinking about how 5 years from now, i won't even remember the climb up as being anything but amazing because it got me to the view at the top... and that's how life can be. any struggle or pain you experience just gets you to the top. and you can't get there without making the climb. a few years later, you won't remember exactly the way the pain felt or how long it took, you'll just remember the view from the top. in fact, you might smile at the fact that you had to work to get there. so yeah, my tourist experience today was pretty enlightening.

and again, you can check out a couple pics on paramore.net - in fact, you better! those picture emails are gonna cost me so much from overseas haha. what was i thinking!?!? oh and by the way, for those of you wondering why i'm the only one that's been posting... the guys don't have their regular phones and their Europe phones aren't set up to make the mobile posts. they'll be back!

see you at Rock Am Ring!!!

H20's new record Nothing To Prove came out today! Go get it!!!!!!!!!!

Time off has ruled but I cannot wait to fly to Dublin on Saturday. Why am I using capital letters in this entry? I never do that... I'm on my sidekick. I don't really like posting from here but its extremely nice being able to update from my car. (I'm not driving... no worries). I'm excited to live in a bus again... live out of a suitcase again. What am I saying, I haven't even unpacked from last tour.

Well, I will try to update again soon. This isn't the easiest way to do it... that's what she said. Who loves The Office?

By the way, we are very sorry about the dates or lack thereof for the summer tour. We are trying to figure out anything we can do to fix it or make it up to you guys but obviously we can't just make up time if we don't have it. Bear with us and we will keep you posted. Hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of the summer. Stoked!!!

See you guys soon ;)

...okay now... go pick up the new H20 record. (My favorite song on it - at the moment - is "Unconditional", check it out!!!)

wow. i meant to post this a while ago... it was just restored from a saved draft. i think i actually fell asleep writing this haha i'll keep it here anyways.

[saved from stored draft]:
i love mewithoutYou.

we made it to London around noon today. it's about 2am now. i've gotta get some sleep soon!
i just thought i'd post a quick little update before i finally went to bed. tomorrow is a big day. GIAN is a huge deal to us. in '06, we played a side stage, very early in the day. here we are in 2008 headlining the whole thing. it's crazy. thank you.... (and this is where it ended hahaha)

so, it's been 2 weeks since the last update. life rules. hope you guys are doing so great... we came home from the Jimmy tour and had two days off in Nashville before we went out to the UK for GIAN. such great shows. somehow i think our show review got mixed up with another bands in the last issue of Kerrang. i think our review was actually mixed up with Mindless Self Indulgence. unless i was unconscious when i began to pry hands off my sweaty breasts. hahahaaa what is it with Kerrang and my boobs? leave em alone geez. apparently, i also stage dove during our set. badical. i wish, anyway. besides all the insanity with press - which we heard was an honest mistake, although i doubt it and i haven't even read it to really decide for myself - the shows were incredible.

i have to go ahead and say it now... in the history of our band, the best crowd and overall best show, hands down, was in Glasgow, Scotland - i'm really sorry i might have forgotte the date - was it may 12th? thank you to everyone who came out to the show. the line was insane. wrapped around the building and so far down the street. haha. we love Scotland. also, thanks to those of you who stuck around til after the guys and i all got showers and packed to go home... you guys were so much fun to hang out with. for those of you who weren't there, i will try to paint the picture for you. i walked out the bus to pack my stuff and told everyone that as soon as we were all ready we were going to come sign and hang out by the bus, so EVERYONE stuck around. seriously, like 400 kids hahah. the cops came and told everyone to leave and by the time we got out there only 30 or so kids had been allowed to stay. we had to whisper the entire time we signed and took pics. but it was so much fun haha so yeah... thank you guys.

so, i'm talkin to my friend "Mono-Dog" on ichat. he's a fan of the band. apparently, my screen name was posted somewhere. oh well hahah. he plays a fender strat. he loves horror movies but his favorite new movie is juno. besides those fun little facts it's awesome having a conversation with a fan. we both love stephen king's Pet Cemetery. it reminds me of playing small clubs having REAL conversations with fans. with people. the guys and i are hoping to bring back some of those types of moments. especially within the fan club. it all takes time working out because now that the band is more successful any little thing can become "an issue", which is weird haha. but we are working hard and really trying to keep you guys in the loop and make it feel even more of a community.

if you are in LA... go to Amoeba tonight, Eli "Paperboy" Reed is playin! i was gonna go but i can't make it now. anyway, he's great. different and the show will probably be a lot of fun.

i'm outta here

HELLOOOOO!
i'm going to be so late for check out... i already know this.
but it doesn't matter, cause i really feel like posting!

was anyone from the community at the Samsung event at The Meridian in Houston? we had so much fun. initially, i wasn't too stoked about waking up at 5am and flying to Houston only to have to wake up the next morning at 5am to make it back to Lowell, Mass but it turned out being one of my highlights from this whole tour, tbqh (look at me using LJ language...weee). we hadn't played a club like in about a year. in fact, we played The Meridian on the first tour of '07 to promote RIOT! i had a blast on that tour. i was beginning to forget what it felt like... which sucked a little bit. anyway, we had a blast the other night and we wanted to thank everyone who came out and made it a party. hopefully, there will be more shows like that in the future, whether they are sponsored events or not.

so, the tour is coming to a close. i can't believe we've been on the road with Jimmy for a month now. they are wonderful people... hilarious. not to mention, we had great times throwing fruit out backstage windows at people. insane. plus, Dear and the Headlights are some of the most talented and down to earth people i think we've ever shared a stage with. look out for them coming your way in the future... if you haven't seen them on this tour you will want to see them sometime soon!!!

i have to go i'm going to be really late. have a good day. talk soon!
