Noisy-le-Sec (French pronunciation: [nwazi sɛk] ) is a commune in the eastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 8.6 km (5.3 mi) from the center of Paris.

Toponymy

The name Noisy derives from the Latin Nucetum meaning 'walnut grove'. Le Sec means 'the dry', and refers to the dry, less fertile soil of the area.[3]
