Noisy-le-Sec (French pronunciation: [nwazi lə sɛk] ⓘ) is a commune in the eastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 8.6 km (5.3 mi) from the center of Paris.
Toponymy
[edit]The name Noisy derives from the Latin Nucetum meaning 'walnut grove'. Le Sec means 'the dry', and refers to the dry, less fertile soil of the area.[3]
