Bio

I’m a WordPress product builder and open-source advocate, currently leading Jetpack at Automattic. I previously co-founded GiveWP (acquired by Liquid Web in 2021) and created WP Rollback, along with a bunch of other plugins used by site owners, agencies, and nonprofits around the world.

These days I’m focused on helping Jetpack become a more cohesive, high-quality suite that creators can trust, while continuing to build in WordPress and share what I’ve learned about product strategy, UX, and sustainable plugin businesses. I care a lot about thoughtful UX, reliable code, and tools that make site ownership feel simpler instead of heavier.

I try to give back through code, docs, and community, organizing and mentoring meetups in San Diego and speaking at WordCamps when I can. When I’m off the keyboard, I’m usually playing volleyball, shredding on guitar, or hanging with my cats.
