AIPMT 2012 - All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Test is the gateway for admission into 1st semester of first year of professional degree courses in medicine and dentistry offered through various AIPMT Medical Colleges and AIPMT Dental Colleges across the country.
AIPMT 2012 Exam Dates
As per communication received from Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare, Government of India regarding seeking permission from the
Hon’ble Supreme Court to allow introduction of NEET for Under Graduate
Medical Courses from the academic year 2013-14 instead of 2012-13, the
Central Board of Secondary Education would now conduct the All India
Pre-Medical/ Pre-Dental Entrance Examination only for the 15% all India
quota seats as per following schedule:
- AIPMT Preliminary Examination - 1st April, 2012 (Sunday)
- AIPMT Final Examination - 13th May, 2012 (Sunday)
AIPMT 2012 Notification
Online applications are invited for All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination 2012 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi as per the following schedule for admission to 15% of the total seats for Medical/Dental Courses in all Medical/Dental Colleges run by the Union of India, State Governments, Municipal and other local authorities in India except in the States of ANDHRA PRADESH and JAMMU & KASHMIR
- Schedule for submission of online application forms without late fee: 26.12.2011 (Mon) to 25.01.2012 (Wed)
- Last date of receipt of confirmation: 02.02.2012 (Thurs)
- Schedule for submission of online application forms with late fee of Rs.500/- 26.01.2012 (Thur) To 08.02.2012 (Wed)
- Last date of receipt of confirmation page in CBSE for the applications submitted with late fee of Rs.500/- 15.02.2012
- Schedule for submission of online application forms with late fee of Rs.1000/- 09.02.2012 (Thur) to 24.02.2012 (Fri)
- Last date of receipt of confirmation page in CBSE for the applications submitted with late fee of Rs.1000/- 02.03.2012
- Preliminary Examination Admit Card : 09.03.2012 (Delayed for some reason)
- Final Examination Admit Card : 27.04.2012
AIPMT 2012 Online Application Form Corrections
- The candidates of AIPMT-2012 can avail A ONE TIME OPPORTUNITY to correct their particulars in the on-line Application submitted by them on the website of the CBSE www.aipmt.nic.in. This facility shall be available during the period 1st February to 24 th February, 2012.
- Correction in City of Centre/ Choice of Counseling Centre/ Question Paper Medium are not allowed.
- After correction, the candidates may print correction slip and retain the same with them for reference and record.
- Due to correction of Category/ Sub-Category by the candidate, if additional fee is payable, the correction slip along with Demand Draft for balance amount drawn in favour of the Secretary, CBSE payable at Delhi be sent to:

available Online as well as Offline. Candidates can choose to apply for
AIPMT 2012 either way. Online submission of application may be made by accessing the Board’s website

The duration of submission of application form, without late fee and
with late fees is given in FEE DETAILS/LAST DATE. Instructions for

Eligibility Criteria For AIPMT 2012
- He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or
will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her
admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. course and is an INDIAN
NATIONAL.
- The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance
Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance
examination. Further provided that upper age limit shall be relaxed by a
period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled
Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.
- The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics,
Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have
obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry
and Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination.
In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled
Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics,
Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying
examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates.
Further, for persons for locomotory disability of lower limbs, the
minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH
are required. Those who are appearing plus two examination in 2012 can
also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their
fulfilling the conditions later.
AIPMT 2012 Admit Card
The Board would provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of Preliminary Stage Examination on the Board’s website. Candidates must download the admit cards from the website and follow the instructions given therein. The admit cards will not be sent by the post. The Admit Card will contain the candidate’s roll number, name, Father’s name, Category, Sub-Category, photograph, signatures, Date of Birth, language of question paper with name and address of AIPMT centre allotted.
The candidate should carefully examine the Admit Card downloaded by him/her for all the entries made therein. In case of any mistakes in the contents, the candidate should immediately inform the Board. In such cases, candidates would appear in the examination with the already downloaded admit card. However, Board will take necessary action to make the correction in the record later. Candidates qualified for the Final Examination- need to download the separate admit card indicating the new roll number and other details from the Board’s website. Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good condition till admission in Medical/Dental Colleges is over.
Points to Remember while downloading admit card:1. Candidates are required to enter their Registration Number and their Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
2. Candidates must check status of receipt of their Application on-line. In case, the remark against the application of the candidate is shown as ‘NOT RECEIVED’, the candidate should contact CBSE on or before 21.03.2012 by 17.00 hours with details of the Post Office, Date of Dispatch, Original Receipt of Postal dispatch, Photostat Copy of Confirmation Page and Demand Draft, two photograph as pasted on the Confirmation Page.

4. Cases with remark ‘Under Process, Pl check on 26.03.2012’ - the Roll No and Centre of Examination shall be displayed on 26.03.2012 for downloading their Admit Card.
5. The last date for removal or resolving of discrepancies was 15th March, 2012. However, the date has been extended, so the candidates can resolve discrepancies on or before 21st March, 2012 by 17.00 hours.
6. ‘NOT RECEIVED/ DISCREPANCY’ cases which remain unresolved after the extended period of 21st March, 2012 by 17.00 hours will not be considered further and the application of the candidate shall be rejected. No further correspondence will be entrained in such cases thereafter.

AIPMT 2012 Two Tier Exam
AIPMT 2012 Prelim Exam shall be the Screening Test, which examine the candidates knowledge in school level sciences i.e Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany. The candidates who will get place in All India Merit List of AIPMT 2012 Prelim Exam shall be called for AIPMT 2012 Final Exam.
AIPMT 2012 Final Exam shall be Selection Test for Medical & Dental courses. The test shall examine whether candidates shall be able to complete course work in medicine. The questions shall be asked from school level sciences i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany.
The administering authority for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2012 is the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Student who appears in All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Exam (AIPMT) 2012 and finds place in the merit list prepared by AIPMT 2012 Board are called for counseling for final offer of admission.
