I’m all about converting typically unused spaces into functional and even cozy workspaces. This workspace was constructed in the owner’s attic.
This workspace belongs to Vancouver-based designer Effie Genovese, who drew inspiration from her time living in France. Chair accompaniment provided by Eames Aluminum Group.
The next best thing to having windows in the wall, is having windows in the ceiling. It’s rarely possible without significant costs but skylights is one workspace feature I covet.
This is a workspace setup in a 350 year old room. I favor a certain style for myself but I can appreciate workspaces that are fascinating or have a wonderful history such as this one, I’m sure. I wish I knew significantly more about the building and location to share, however.
Natural light from this skylight beaming right down on this person’s desk. So cool.
