As part of its Metroid Month, Nintendo's online Wii store is making a free downloadable MP3:C "preview" available. This cool little extra is snagged from the WiiWare section of the store, and is 70 blocks in size. The preview currently consists of four Flash movies, with two more being promised on August 16th. The four live movies stream using your broadband internet connection, and show some of the different aspects of the game. Most noticeable is the corruption angle which hints at why Samus is enjoying being driven to the dark side.


The other movies hit topics such as Aurora, a large bridge fight and Samus' spider ball. We're expecting more movies to hit soon. There's also two hidden wallpapers in the preview, which have to be physically uncovered by holding down the A button on the Wii's remote, and then "rubbed" away. We're thinking there will be more of these coming too. MP3:C is due to hit the streets on August 27th so stay tuned for more coverage. And as part of Metroid Month, fans will also be able to download the classic SNES title Super Metroid from the Wii's virtual console store on August 20th. It'll cost 800 Wii Points and trust us when we say that it's a classic.
