Student Media at the University of Oklahoma provides publications and other media presence, activities and services designed to enhance the sense of community and overall quality of campus life for a diverse student body by providing an unrestricted student forum for the exchange of ideas. The department:
- strengthens the educational experience for students interested in journalism and mass communication, marketing and related fields
- supports career development and offers leadership opportunities
- includes a team of eight professional staff, nearly 100 student employees and more than 50 volunteers
- produces national award-winning publications, The Oklahoma Daily and Sooner yearbook
- serves as the daily news source and annual chronicle of the University of Oklahoma
