For ListeriaBot defect tracking, use GitHub
It helps me keeping track of all the requests. Beats spreading them over half a dozen talk pages ;-)

ListeriaBot

[edit]

Yes, yes, I did read «For bug reports or feature requests concerning my tools on Labs, please use BitBucket.» but I really don't feel for signing up to and learning to navigate and publish in the correct place on a platform I literally won't be using for anything else. Hopefully it's OK that this is published here.

There's ongoing editing at Wikidata (possibly by a bot?), removing labels that are identical to the mul label. While this does make sense from a Wikidata standpoint, reducing redundant information and database size, it also negatively affect the data delivered by ListeriaBot, resulting in the Q-value being listed i the label column. See Wikipedia:Database reports/Recent deaths which currently says "Q3367014" both in item and label column for cartoonist Frank Stack. Is there a way that your bot could pick the mul label if there's no label in the local language?

At no-Wiki we tried to add |language=mul which resulted in the local language description not being fetched (mul doesn't have description), the label on the other hand was still not fetched, not even the mul label. Needless to say, we reverted the change.

David Russell

[edit]

Dear Magnus, I saw an edit by your bot on wikidata concerning the page for David Russell (guitarist): https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q1176433&diff=prev&oldid=126108963, in this edit, the bot claims Russell's citizenship is of Spain, but I have not seen any evidence of this. The man would appear to be scottish from his Wikipedia page. I am not sure what to do here, if this should be changed. Slomo666 (talk) 16:02, 19 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Image Requests for Famous Figures

[edit]

Would you happen to have free high-quality images of Ogden Phipps, Ferry Porsche, Friedrich Flick, Andrei Kirilenko and Friedrich Christian Flick? It would be a nice addition to the Wikipedia articles for said figures. Thank you for your consideration. Emiya1980 (talk) 02:35, 3 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
