[edit]There appears to have been a slightly different type of race condition than the usual edit conflict. I started voting to Delete while you were closing the MFD as Delete. Do you want to leave my vote outside the box or move it into the box? Robert McClenon (talk) 03:38, 28 July 2026 (UTC)
- Good morning @Robert McClenon
- @Star walker has already removed your note note. It's your call if you want to re add it, but I think Godsy knows the difference between the forums, so it's probably not necessary unless there's a reason you need it? Have a great day. Star Mississippi 12:37, 28 July 2026 (UTC)
Arbitration case opened
[edit]You recently offered a statement in a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Gun control 2. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Gun control 2/Evidence; private evidence may be sent to arbcom-en-b
wikimedia.org. Additional parties may be proposed during the first week of the evidence phase. Please add your evidence by August 15, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Gun control 2/Workshop. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Party guide/Introduction. For the Arbitration Committee, GoldRomean (talk) 18:11, 1 August 2026 (UTC)
Odd ANI behaviour
[edit]A couple of weeks ago in Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive1230#Das osmnezz, again you told off Fence127 (talk · contribs) for using multiple accounts. I am finding their responses in Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Youravreageavaitor and article creation somewhat odd. Some of their edit history and behaviour makes me think they might even be a sockpuppet of the editor who is the subject of this ANI thread. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I'll bet there's shenanigans afoot here. 10mmsocket (talk) 09:56, 2 August 2026 (UTC)
- And looking at their edit history I seriously question their general competence, messing around with stuff they have no idea about, e.g. placing notices on people's talk pages, conducting a GA review, moving pages around, etc. 10mmsocket (talk) 10:09, 2 August 2026 (UTC)
- I'm actually trying to help. I just don't know how some stuff work
- but I edit in good faith. I want to be helpful, but I'm being questioned by experienced users about my behaviour. I try my best to work well. Fence127 (talk) 10:23, 2 August 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Just wanted to say I agree wholeheartedly with this.
Having recently made the jump from decades of IP edits and talk page stalking to "maybe it's time to make an account and actually join the community" I have to say that this is making me doubt that decision. It's certainly made clear that I want no involvement with ITN.
I'm not going to comment in the ANI for fear of looking socky, but I appreciate that you and others are standing up to the landslide of intolerance in so far as is possible. WolfOnABus (talk) 09:58, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you @WolfOnABus
- That thread is disappointing, yet not surprising. Unfortunately it ensures the behavior will continue.
- Please don't let it color your experience with the broader community, I think we're on the whole a lot better than we used to be.
- I know from another editor who made the transition from IP/temp account editing to logged in that there are some odd differences - feel free to ping with any questions. Star Mississippi 12:42, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks, I will.
- And yeah I've generally observed people tending to be kind and tolerant, so I'm not heading off just yet! WolfOnABus (talk) 15:12, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
The Access Group - Why Deleted?
[edit]Hi @Star Mississippi, I am just reaching out because you recently redirected The Access Group's page to Servelec and I wanted to see if you could provide more information as to why? AfD log here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/The_Access_Group_(2nd_nomination).
When we recently updated the article, we included a number of strong secondary sources (The Times, Sky News). We do also have other sources and were in the process of providing a stronger encyclopedic entry for The Access Group, but was doing this as a step by step process rather than a full overhaul, as we wanted to make sure we were meeting Wikipedia's criteria.
Also, I would like to understand the redirect to Servelec, as this was a brand that Access Group acquired in 2021 and now operates under The Access Group brand.
If you could let me know the best way to address this situation, it would be greatly appreciated. We don't want to infringe of Wikipedia rules and want to make sure we meet all the criteria and requirements. Any help would be great. Thank you. Ashlockett (talk) 15:17, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do, but I've created the full company article in my sandbox for reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Ashlockett/sandbox. I hope that helps with your analysis @Star Mississippi. Thank you Ashlockett (talk) 15:59, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Ashlockett and apologies for the delay as I have been offline. Thank you for disclosing your conflict of interest with respect to The Access Group. The challenge with editing about companies is the WP:CORP level sourcing required. It is my opinion that what you've included in the new draft, while much improved, does not meet that level. Much of what you've added runs afoul of WP:CORPTRIV especially as the funding announcements are pulled substantially from press announcements.
- This is what I see as the path forward since both AfDs were of limited participation and the first one was also tainted by socking. My recommendation is that you move your new draft to Draft:The Access Group and submit it through AfC. I do not believe it would pass at this stage but another reviewer may see it differently. If they do agree with me, they'll likely provide some additional feedback on how to potentially assert TAG's notability. You might also get some assistance at the Teahouse or at WP:AFCHD the latter of which is geared toward helping newer editors navigate our processes.
- Let me know your thoughts? And apologies again for the delay Star Mississippi 00:13, 6 August 2026 (UTC)
- That’s not a problem @Star Mississippi, I saw on your profile you were dipping in and out, so I appreciate the detailed reply. I am keen to get this right, so will follow your suggested path and see if I can improve the sourcing to meet requirements, which is challenging as B2B tech companies are niche and exposure can be limited. Again, thank you for your help, it is appreciated. Ashlockett (talk) 05:20, 6 August 2026 (UTC)
- Happy to help at any time my on wiki availability allows @Ashlockett
- On both help desks there are other editors who are experienced in organizational notability and may have some suggestions on how to overcome the niche area leading to lack of necessary coverage. Star Mississippi 15:06, 6 August 2026 (UTC)

Account unblock
[edit]I would like my account to be unblocked. Back in May, I was blocked and the criteria for getting unblocked was either wait at least 6 months from the day of the block or have 12 accepted Wikipedia draft articles upon being reviewed. 12 Wikipedia drafts I have either moved myself to mainspace or I have made edits on and were later moved to mainspace by other users are listed below. I think this is sufficient evidence to get my account unblocked.
2013 Makani Kai Air Cessna 208 crash
Joy General Aviation Flight 6005
1990 Dubenec Tupolev Tu-154 crash
1969 Da Nang mid-air collision
1965 Damascus Alia Handley Page Herald crash

2027 Women's Baseball World Cup Group A
[edit]Why did you decide it was a merge when nobody bar me and the other person even responded in the discussion? I am personally against the proposal. ILoveSport2006 (talk) 19:43, 20 August 2026 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2027 Women's Baseball World Cup Group A
- I did not decide. I closed it to reflect the nomination because there was no opposition to the proposal. You didn't even make your opposition clear in your participation. If you believe my close was in error, you're welcome to file a Deletion Review, but please be mindful of feedback you have received about these articles in the past.
