When every order is engineered from scratch, costs don’t just increase. They compound. Across: • Engineering hours • Supply chain coordination • Quality risk • Documentation complexity • Knowledge retention • Lead times Most companies don’t see the full cost because it’s distributed across functions. But after 30 years working with global manufacturers, one pattern is consistent: 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 “𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺” 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. And structured variation can be configured. That’s the difference: ETO → Engineer from scratch CTO → Configure from proven modules One model scales revenue. The other scales complexity. Manufacturers who make the shift typically see: → 50–70% reduction in engineering effort → Faster time to market → More predictable delivery → Stronger margins The real question isn’t “Are our customers unique?” It’s “𝘐𝘴 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘦 𝘷𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺?” If you want to understand the full economic model behind the shift: Download our guide in the comments ↓ #Manufacturing #ConfigureToOrder #ProductConfiguration #EngineeringEfficiency #ModularManagement

The surviving soldier blames Putin and calls on his compatriots to come to their senses and stay home. "They threw us into an assault without intelligence, without ammunition, without normal weapons..." According to him, the russians promised that the North Korean soldiers would build fortifications, but were then forced into battle in Kurshchyna instead. "They treat fighters like disposable rice sticks..." 🎙️ Accent and pitch contour is consistent with North Korean. His words are full of anger and frustration. Some parts are badly translated however. Most developers spend their time optimizing code, but the real issue often lies elsewhere. The biggest bottleneck in software development is unclear requirements not bad code. Before you start writing, make sure you can explain the problem clearly. If you can’t, don’t code it yet. A few minutes spent clarifying can save days of debugging.

Many developers try to read documentation the same way they read books from start to finish. In practice, that rarely works. Documentation is most useful when it’s approached with a specific question or problem in mind. You go in, find the piece you need, apply it, and move forward. Learning through problems tends to be far more effective than trying to absorb everything at once.

The following is a summary of what we learned: First, we uncovered the HTML source code of the webpage and located the JavaScript code. Then, we learned about various ways to obfuscate JavaScript code. After that, we learned how to beautify and deobfuscate minified and obfuscated JavaScript code. Next, we went through the deobfuscated code and analyzed its main function We then learned about HTTP requests and were able to replicate the main function of the obfuscated JavaScript code. Finally, we learned about various methods to encode and decode strings.

How does a complex technology standard like Node-API get built in the open? It's a community effort. In this interview, Khalef Hosany (Microsoft) explains how the project grew from an internal prototype for React Native on Windows to a public-facing initiative. Kræn Hansen (MongoDB) discusses how "nerd sniping" and a desire to solve shared problems fuel contributions. Both agree: the project is at a critical stage and needs developer feedback to set priorities. Learn how you can contribute ▶️ https://lnkd.in/d6Tfp4uy

#msbuild #recap day 4: The TypeScript compiler is getting faster, way faster! That’s the short digest of “A 10x Faster TypeScript with Anders Hejlsberg”. They are making this possible by converting the compiler from JavaScript to GO. This also makes it possible to use multiple threads which isn’t possible in JavaScript. The new compiler is already available in preview. There is also a new preview available for the language service for TypeScript in VSCode. The official release will be at the end of this year in version 7 of TypeScript. https://lnkd.in/eDK_7DPk A tip from a few other attendees is to watch the session “Build the next gen of AI apps with .NET: Models, Data, Agents, & More”. https://lnkd.in/eGijYbKv The only non technical session that I attended this week was “A Visual Studio Story: How We Build Software Loved by Millions of Developers”. Mads Kristensen explained how Microsoft improved the releasenotes for Visual Studio. Step 1 was to make it a one time job for the Microsoft engineers/productowners. All the other steps, like blogs/socialmedia/releasenotes/what’s new messages are all derived from the first step, with the help of … you guested it, AI. I think we can use parts of this workflow at Wigo4it. https://lnkd.in/ee_Z4xfJ The final session of the day and of Build was “Scott & Mark Learn to … LIVE” In this session they tried to make a robot pick up a soda bottle from a table and give it to Scott Hanselman. The robot had 2 computers onboard and was connected to the internet. This way it could use multiple AI models to do image recognition, interpret text commands, text to speech and create and communicate a plan to retrieve the bottle. This was obviously a very complex task and failed initially, but after a few more tries it succeeded. Very interesting demo! https://lnkd.in/eY423GwC I had a lot of fun attending the Microsoft Build and can recommend it to anyone! Thanks to Wigo4it for making this possible!

The result was really awesome, good to remember something with some illustration that works with a single command line. https://lnkd.in/dGKHGrCy *Even if you are from another tech stack this can be useful as script languages tends to be simple. **I avoid even to use the package manager to be more clear.

Many junior developers get confused between setIsTrue(!isTrue) and setIsTrue(prev => !prev) in React. The second approach is safer because React may batch multiple state updates, and using prev ensures you’re working with the latest value. Small details like this are what make code truly reliable.
