What was your win this week!?

Interview prep and front-page writing streaks

👋👋👋👋
Looking back on your week -- what was something you're proud of?
All wins count -- big or small 🎉

Examples of 'wins' include:

  • Getting a promotion!
  • Starting a new project
  • Fixing a tricky bug
  • Started something you've been "about to start" for two months

Happy Friday! 🏁

Managed to put another 20 minute read article together, which is so large, it's almost impossible to read if your attention span isn't at "I read documentation for fun" levels.

Well, I guess I can never learn my lesson. I always end up writing book chapter-sized posts. 😒

Keeping the 36 Stratagems series on a daily-update streak, and every single one making it to the front page🎉 — grateful to this community for the platform, and to every one of you who reads, likes, and comments. 🙏

I've finished my SQL audit tool, wrote an article about it:

and created a website to promote it:

dbgrade — Independent PostgreSQL & MariaDB/MySQL Audits - Security, integrity, performance — scored and explained

Independent SQL audits for PostgreSQL and MariaDB/MySQL. 16 security, integrity and performance metrics, scored, with a PDF report you can act on — even if you don't read SQL.

Incidentally, I'm starting to learn how to use embeds 😁

Made a quick and dirty todo app with a MCP connection. So I can easily manage all the todos Claude adds for the project.

Other than that, rolled out a bunch of smaller fixes and tweaks for Old Light. Looking forward to building bigger things again for it.
