In partnership with the University of Roehampton (UoR)
A Masters-level qualification for graduates seeking a ‘fast-track’ food teaching qualification without QTS, or teachers with QTS in another subject. Candidates without a degree but with relevant experience (e.g., teaching assistants, Leiths Diploma chefs) are eligible. QTS can be applied for after two years of teaching.
In partnership with the University of Roehampton (UoR)
This qualification is for graduates aiming to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) as a specialist food and nutrition teacher. It includes immersive teaching practice, asynchronous subject training by UoR, 10 hands-on practical food teaching days, and a 30-recipe online cookery course designed by Leiths Education specialists.
3 day accredited cookery qualification
The Leiths’ Assessment in Marine Cookery is a three day assessment for food professionals who want to gain the Ships’ Cook certificate. This is a mandatory requirement for all chefs wanting to work on UK-registered commercial vessels operating more than 60 miles offshore and with 10 or more seafarers on board.
2-day professional course
Develop the skills to create professional food content. Over two days you move from food styling and videography to audience building, user-generated content and social media content strategies, taught by one of the most successful food content creators working in the UK today.
4-day professional course
Refine your skills in bread-making on this advanced course. Lead by an expert chef tutor, you’ll cover starter maintenance, higher-hydration doughs and pre-ferments, using contemporary recipes inspired by London’s world-class bakery scene. From potato bread to babka, bagels to baguettes, take your knowledge of bread to the next level at Leiths Culinary School in London.
