Zine Library
Barnard Zine Library News
Every month we highlight a different theme that can be studied or enjoyed using our zine library. This month, our theme is AI, which we chose because people love talking about AI, including zine makers. A CLIO search on < zines AI > led to many false hits, so we switched to < zines "artificial intelligence" > limiting both searches to Subject (Genre) and Location Barnard and sorted by earliest published.
Every month we highlight a different theme that can be studied or enjoyed using our zine library. This month's topic is surger* because the combination of the subject headings Excision (Surgery) and Do-it-yourself work is currently unique to one (1) item in the Columbia Libraries Online Catalog (CLIO), which, as of 4/29/2026 has 26,800,641 records. We've got a zine for that!
Director of the Barnard Zine Library Jenna Freedman is participating in three events at the University of Maryland and Maryland Institute of Technology April 16-April 18, 2026.
