Sgt Jovanović died while fulfilling his duty in the service of peace. This Friday, @antonioguterres will posthumously bestow the Dag Hammarskjöld Medal to 59 peacekeepers killed last year. Let us reiterate: those responsible must be effectively prosecuted and held accountable.

I'm deeply saddened by the death of Sgt Milovan Jovanović of Serbia 🇷🇸, who succumbed to injuries sustained when mortar shells struck his @UNIFIL_ position. I strongly condemn this attack on peacekeepers. My heartfelt condolences to his family, the Gov. & Armed Forces of #Serbia.
