We just presented an official @NYCCouncil citiation to Luna the Dog for being New York's strongest soldier in our war against the rats 🐀. With over 200 confirmed kills, including over 60 this year alone, Luna is holding the front line and making us proud 🫡
🚨LEGISLATIVE UPDATE: It’s official! By a vote of 42-8, the FARE Act passed the @NYCCouncil with a veto-proof supermajority ending forced broker fees. Thank you.

We rallied today outside City Hall for the passage of our bill, Intro 1176, known as the CURB Act. It would ban the NYPD’s Strategic Response Group, which was established as a counterterrorism unit, from cracking down on nonviolent First Amendment-protected protest and assembly.

After over four hours, the #FAREAct@NYCCouncil hearing is going VERY well as we deconstruct REBNY arguments. The truth is that ending forced broker fees puts bargaining power in the hands of tenants at lease renewal, which ultimately puts DOWNWARD pressure on rents.
