Green NCAP’s new and complete vehicle life assessment enables consumers to compare the environmental impact of cars throughout their life as well as their real-world efficiency, range, and charging capability. In 2025, Green NCAP also introduces a complementary, new Driving Experience assessment for electric cars.

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a method to estimate the overall environmental impact of a vehicle over its total lifecycle. Green NCAP’s LCA assesses the greenhouse gas emissions and the primary energy demand during the various stages in the life cycle of different passenger vehicles.
