For some time now, I’ve been hoping that LiteSpeed Cache would include a way to delay specific JavaScript files from loading.

Same to CSS as it’s critical and unique CSS generation is so flawed, leading to time wastage trying to optimize for the excluded selectors.

Currently, all LS Cache rivals like WP Rocket, FlyingPress, Perfmatters, Autoptimize, etc. have these two functions baked in.

    But LiteSpeed Cache doesn’t =(

have you tried JS Delayed Includes option ?

for CSS, I will forward it as feature request , but ideally , when you get it by UCSS , you don’t really need to async any CSS anymore by then.

    Hello,

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I noticed the JS Delayed Includes option yesterday after posting this. I will test it in the weekend and revert back with the outcome.

As for UCSS, the biggest complaint is that this has to be done by a third-party service, QUIC Cloud.

And I have had situations where it totally fails to generate the UCSS and the error message it shows is something a noob like me can’t fix.

But what the plugins I have mentioned do is make the whole process easy, Generate Critical CSS and delay the rest of the stylesheets (There’s is a section to include the stylesheets) until the user interacts with the page.

They also allow you to include CSS selectors that the generation of CCSS may have skipped. I can see LiteSpeed Cache has this option, but no matter what I do, all those selectors I include get skipped.
