The folks at Bioware/Mythic have put together a DAoC Wiki on their new website:
"In the last Producers Letter we announced a new Dark Age of Camelot wiki as one of the projects we had planned. The goal was to allow an easy entry to the immense knowledge surrounding the game and to improve the overall experience both inside and outside the game world.
The wiki had a soft launch together with the new website, and was quickly discovered by some of you. It has since grown by hundreds of articles especially regarding classes and zones, and the structure of the wiki was improved as well. ..."
To continue reading about the new Wiki, please visit the Camelot Herald.
"We will be bringing the BioWare Mythic account center offline for a short maintenance today, July 12th at 6:00pm EDT.

During this time all account center related service will be unavailable, including billing and character transfers.
We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause."

"After a lot of back and forth skirmishes without major lands gains, Sunday evening saw the wrath of Albion renewed, when the troops of Billings and Rescu joined forces to recapture Albions relics which were both held in Hibernia. After gaining a foothold in Dun da Behnn the Albion invaders quickly laid siege on Dun nGed and took it while Hibernia defenders were distracted by a simultaneous attack of Albion on Ailinne Outpost and a Migard raid on Dun Crimthain.
The assault on Ailinne Outpost was successful; a Hibernia detachment arriving shortly before the tower fell to the enemy came too late. The following attack on Dun Ailinne itself, where Merlins Staff is stored, was thrown back by Hibernias defender, so the Albion forces retreated and rushed through Traitors Pass to take Scathaig Outpost and then storm the valley of Dun Scathaig, where the stolen Scabbard of Excalibur was held. ..."

Highlights
Several balance changes have been made to ML10 Encounter Weapons.
Master levels no longer require Master Level experience.
A series of repeatable Monster, and Player kill tasks have been added to the following Battlegrounds: Wilton and Molvik. These quests will grant generous amounts of experience and Aurulite as rewards.
As always, stay tuned for updates and read the full patch notes on the Camelot Herald. And don't forget to be nice with them Germans!
Spies and well informed sources of the realms are reporting a growing threat on the horizon. It is unclear where this threat originates but seemed to be levied towards the Kings themselves.
In reaction to this threat the Kings of the realms have ordered the Magistrates and Quartermasters across Hibernia, Albion and Midgard to open the weapon and armor stores and allow Merchants to once again sell Infernal Invasion items, including the much sought after Infernal Sleeves. In addition to these wares, the Quartermasters have released their hold on their stores of Mythirians. New Merchants from the Labyrinth will join the Infernal Merchants to sell these Mythirians.
The free character transfers from Glamorgan to Ywain have to be postponed for a week. The transfers will now be available starting Wednesday, 06/29/2011.
The reason for this delay is that we want to ensure the most pleasant and smooth transfer experience as possible. To guarantee this, well be upgrading the hard drives on the Ywain server in a maintenance downtime on the 29th. We will also deploy patch 1.109b during this downtime. The free character transfers to Ywain will start right after the downtime. Please make sure that you have read our Transfer Guide.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
Bioware-Mythic's new website for Dark Age of Camelot has been launched this morning which gives much anticipation for great things to come. Take a moment and visit the new website today. The site will also be the new place where you can find official news from Bioware-Mythic. See you soon!
Little update on the Herald for those with characters on Glamorgan on how to transfer them over to Ywain.
Greetings,
In last weeks Producer's Letter we have announced free character transfers from Glamorgon to Ywain. While we don't have the exact date yet, we have updated our Character Transfer Guide and FAQ to answer some of your questions:
Character Transfer Guide
The /freexfer command allows you to transfer a character from the current server to another. You can use the "/freexfer" command without argument to request a list of eligible destination servers. "/freexfer" followed by a server name immediately transfers the current character to the specified destination server.
After issuing the command, you are instructed to log off so that the transfer can take place. Once logged off, you will receive an email notifying you of the status of your transfer.
If your name was already taken on the destination server, the email will inform you of the place-holder name being used for the transfer. When you login your character for the first time after the transfer, you will be prompted to choose a new name for your character while entering the game.
If you own a house, it gets "repossessed" in the process and its contents are available via the repossession merchants in the housing market on the destination server. The house deed, porch deed, a stipend for a new housing lot, and any money from your consignment merchant or house lockbox will also be available from the repossession merchants there. Alternatively you can place all objects in your characters backpack using the /housepickup command in your house and your garden dont forget the hook point items, though.
New user content, new site, new wiki, Glamorgan transfers to Ywain...oh my! June's producer's letter comes choc full of new things we'll be seeing BioWare Mythic bring us. And this is just the start!
Hello World,
It's been a while since I spoke with you, and I wanted to let you in on a little known secret. Dark Age of Camelot is turning 10 this year! OK, so not such a well kept secret, but what we are doing for the 10th anniversary is. To start things off, we are celebrating 10 years of DAoC for the full year, not just a few days in October. We have a lot of things planned, so we will be able to continuously introduce new stuff over the months to come. While we want to keep some surprises, I am happy to announce four of the big ticket items.
First, remember all those new people we brought onto the team a few months back? Well we have been putting them to work creating what is best described as a New User Journey. This new content is focused around new and returning players who may not know or remember all the intricacies that make DAoC great. The plan is to create hubs which will teach players important lessons about Dark Age of Camelot gameplay while getting them ready for RvR warfare. Some of the lessons we have planned are: Assisting, Pets, Crowd Control, Peeling, Stealth, Guard and Protect, Templating, and much more. The goal is to get new players up to speed and out into the fight as quickly as possible while giving them the tools (both in terms of itemization and basic knowledge) to be viable. This new approach to DAoC content will not make someone an overnight RvR master, but it will definitely bring able bodied players out into RvR. So what does this mean for you? Well if you are one of those people who hasn't played the game in a long time, getting back into it will be easier than ever. If you are already out there spilling blood on the battlefield, then be prepared to see more compatriots and more enemies out on the field contributing to the war effort. The New User Journey should be out within the next few patches and once it is, I am sure everyone will enjoy the results.
Second, in the not so distant future (aka soon) we will be unveiling our new website. This is just the first step in improving the way we communicate with our playerbase. The new website is easier to navigate, and chock full of articles and information about the game. You may notice that some of the content is from our old Dark Age of Camelot site; over the coming months we will continue to bring that content over to the new format, but we wanted to get the new look and functionality out in front of you sooner rather than later.
Third, we are working on a wiki site for DAoC that you the players can help to maintain and develop. In the next few months, we will be asking for volunteers and holding contests in the hope that we can blow the doors of this site and make it the place to get all of your DAoC data. If the website is the first step in improving communication, the wiki is the second. But don't worry, there are even more steps we are working on. Remember, we have a whole year to celebrate, not just the month of October.
And as if three things weren't enough, here's a fourth: We are going to be allowing transfers from the Glamorgan cluster to Ywain. It's been a long time coming, and yes we did hear your pleas and we received your feedback. We are looking into the last of the technical requirements right now and I will be able to give you the exact date within the next few weeks. In the mean time, we are preparing the Transfer FAQ to be available next week.
So that's what I've come here to talk about for now, but rest assured, that there is a whole lot more on our 'to-do' list. So keep your eyes peeled, and you ears to the ground, because there will be additional information about our big year coming your way!
Until then,
See you in the Frontiers!
Thanks Stuart for keeping us updated via the Camelot Herald. Looking forward to seeing the new user journey!
We are excited to announce the launching of our latest Community site, L.A. Noire Precinct, that covers the newly released game by Rockstar. So please take a moment to drop by and see what is going on over at the Precinct. While there be sure to check out the L.A. Noire Wiki section for all your needs. There will also be extensive guides, screenshots and editorials. Check it out!
Good afternoon Dark Age of Camelot players! Are you ready for a change in scenery? Starting Thursday the 19th through Monday the 23rd, Bioware-Mythic will be running a weekend battleground event. This will be an opportunity to experience all the great memories of Thidranki with your realm mates. Players level 45-50 will be allowed to teleport to, and participate in, the Thidranki battleground while players level 20-24 will be allowed to teleport to, and participate in, the Cathal Valley battleground. Grab your friends and form your groups and get ready for some battleground action this weekend, starting tomorrow.
The Battleground quests in the affected battlegrounds will be turned off, and Buff NPCs will be provided for level 45-50 players. The monsters, keep guards and realm guards have all been changed to the appropriate level for this battleground change. In addition, players in all battlegrounds will receive RPs and BPs for the duration of this event.

Good morning Dark Age of Camelot players! The frontier has been filled with battles and it's been an exciting few weeks in the realm war for the glory of the realms. However to win in the frontier it takes players dedicated to their realm to win the battle. With that in mind, each player never forgets their first level 50 character. So with this week's "Topic of the Week", what class was your first level 50 character?
Thank you for sharing! We want to know your every moves and what you've been doing these days on Camelot! Hope to see each of you out in the frontier.
