I arrived in London about 9 am on a Saturday. I admired the lovely public transit system, where I decided I would indeed Mind The Gap. I rode on the ‘Quiet Car’ of the Heathrow Express, where a large group of Americans from Maine missed the ‘Quiet’ part of “Quiet Car’.
Arriving at my hotel, I was grateful they allowed my to check in 2 hours early. It’s the teeniest room ever, but it has all the amenities I could want, including a 110V plug on the desktop. Awesome. The wifi is pretty sucky.
Shortly after getting here, about 2pm local time, I decided I needed a quick nap. Which for the international traveler on nightshift evidently means about 13 hours.
More to come. I’m putting fresh batteries in the camera.
