it's that time again... i have 2 HITCHED tickets to give to one lucky person. the kinds of contests that seem worthy to me always seem to confuse people so i'm just going to pick someone at random. please put your name in the comments below and i'll pick one at random on thursday night.

as an added bonus i will be giving away my newest mix cd to everyone who comes, AND we'll have a dance off to win a trip to mexico!!! (i really know how to have a good time in mexico so if you need a translator (who doesn't really speak spanish) i'm your guy!)

when max and i first talked about this wedding i said something like "dude, you'll never believe how amazing this girl is... we talked for like an hour and a half when we met, (and that NEVER happens)... i really hope you are on this one." he responded with something like "i met her yesterday, we talked for 2 hours me too!!!" i think all of us are going to be friends for a long time. special thanks to our pals at Bash Please who made this one possible.

i had an amazing wedding in zihuatanejo mexico the first week of december and elizabeth and elodie were able to come along so we made a family vacation out of it! pretty amazing trip featuring (o)margarita's (made by a guy named omar), insane fish tacos, releasing baby sea turtles into the ocean, boat rides, gilligan's island style deserted islands, and burying my kiddo up to her neck on the beach! here are a few camera phone shots.

i just got through yelling at myself for omitting my favorite dj mix of 2010 which is cut chemist's 'sound of the police'. if you don't know. you should! i have included my favorite mix from the cd below. enjoy.

i think this was a pretty decent year for new music. a lot of the same old shit but a few rose to the top... the same 4 records that made my first half of the year best of list are all still here and i have added two more. teen dream gets our (no contest) vote for number one album of the year and the other five are all equally fantastic. i have added a track from each record for you to sample. please PAY for these albums at your local INDEPENDENT record store because that is what makes the world awesome. these are small-ish artists that are on indie labels, you should support talent like this even if you usually download stuff for free. enjoy!
