Starting in 1996, Alexa Internet has been donating their crawl data to the Internet Archive. Flowing in every day, these data are added to the Wayback Machine after an embargo period.

The theme for our October contest is Halloween. Those of you with poetic nature this one is for you! Write a poem using Halloween, preferably set in the EverQuest world.
Submissions will be accepted from the time of this posting today, October 20, 2005 until noon PDT on Monday, October 31,2005. Please keep all poem content PG-13 suitable.
Raijinn and I will select three from all submissions and then let the community decide by poll which of the three is the winner.
The winner of the October contest will be announced on Monday, November 7, 2005 before 6:00pm PST. The winner will earn a unique board title, their poem featured on EQ Live and featured in an upcoming newsletter.

Those questions will be answered by the Development team in a new feature, "Halfling Hodgepodge Extreme," which will run on the fourth Friday of every month.
You have one day to post your questions each week, according to Kytherea on EQLive: "Every week from about 5:30pm PDT on Monday until about 5:30pm PDT on Tuesday we will have this thread available to you to post your questions. "
Walk of Game Walk of Game is the first-of-its-kind landmark honoring the icons and pioneers of the videogame industry.
Walk of Game is located inside Metreon, a 350,000 square-foot entertainment complex at Fourth and Mission Streets in the heart of downtown San Francisco.
Every year, gamers worldwide cast their vote on www.WalkOfGame.com to induct the next set of honorees to receive a permanent 24"x 24", customized steel star on the Walk of Game. From the list of nominees, the top four in the category of Games/Characters and the top two in Lifetime Achievement will be inducted. Inductees to date are: Nolan Bushnell, Shigeru Miyamoto, Halo, Link (The Legend of Zelda), Mario, and Sonic The Hedgehog.
The list of nominees is compiled from a survey of industry members and technology, entertainment, and gaming media. SCA Interactive, a leader in online promotions, powers the Walk of Game voting interface.

September 21 Patch Message [Post A Comment] - Print News | Mail News A little late this time, but here is the latest patch message from September 21. They have been patching all week but it appears the patches after the 21st were mostly to correct in-game problems.
Community Summit at SOE Headquarters [Post A Comment] - Print News | Mail News Next weekend starting the 30th of September SOE will be hosting community leaders and press at their headquarters for the second community summit conference. The theme the of the summit is "Progression of EverQuest from the past, to the Present and on to the Future" according to Kytherea, community relations manager.
Attendees are bringing issues from their guilds, classes, and from the SOE EQLive boards.
The conference will consist of round table discussions about issues as well as informal conversations with the producers, developers, and other SOE staff members in San Diego.
If you have issues you would like addressed on the progression of EverQuest, please contact me at kwill@vaultnetwork.com and I will pass them along!
If you participated in the Depths of Darkhollow beta, please make sure the email address we have on record in your SOE account registration information is current. In the next week or so we will be contacting everyone who is eligible for a beta reward by email. If your email address is not correct and you do not receive an email you will not be able to claim your reward and we will not send out emails a second time.
Please be aware that playing in the beta does not automatically make you eligible for a reward.. To be eligible you will need to have earned a minimum number of tokens; I do not currently have that number.
As I have more information to share about the Beta Rewards I will let you know so watch for further announcements here.
Also, please do not petition in-game about the beta rewards, GMs do not have any information to share with you about the Depths of Darkhollow beta rewards.
Patch to Fix Name Exploit Today [Post A Comment] - Print News | Mail News Due to the issue posted by Rapaz about the exploit with character creation that allows someone to create a character with a name that is already in use, we will be updating at 4am. ETA for the downtime is 4 hours.
