Hi, I’m Maymay.

I am a free, libre, and open source software developer and technology consultant. Do you have a project that needs a skilled programmer? Are you looking to make a bigger impact through wide exposure? My projects generally make the news. Pique my interest, and I will come to you.

WordPress Origin Story

I’d already been developing web sites for a while, but freelancing brought me into the wonderful world of WordPress in a big way. Since then, I’ve written numerous plugins, including the very popular Inline Google Spreadsheet Viewer and Tumblr Crosspostr.

Donations for WordPress plugins are now one of my primary sources of earned income. I ♥ WordPress users!

I aim for simplicity and usability above features and flashiness in my plugins. I use the Codex a lot and tend contribute by filling gaps in the documentation as I encounter them, or writing examples into the wiki pages for functions that need to be demonstrated to be understood. See, for instance, the Function Reference/wp_nonce_url#Examples page in the WordPress Codex.
