my sister doesn’t really care, she’s fine where she’s at but if she were to transfer to one of these schools, she has friends there so she’s fine with that too. and she’s more then happy to let me take the test for her. i’ve decided to take the advice of someone from this post and send an anonymous tip to the system’s office that people have been cheating by sending people in. that way they’d maybe double down on security and my mom has no choice but to make my sister take it

Sorry i didn’t explain thoroughly. The test is tailored to the child’s age and grade level. So no, a 4 year old and 16 year old will not be taking the same test

I haven’t thought of your first idea of calling and alerting them of people cheating. This is the best advice i’ve received so far. I’m unfortunately far too timid to tell my mom no directly and absolutely refuse, as people have told me to do. Thanks so much

I didn’t want to say cause it really narrows down where i live but oh well. They’re call ASA tests administered by jefferson parish in Louisiana. The only reason i’m so vague with the test itself is because they’re incredibly secretive about the content on the test and I took it when I was young so I don’t remember anything. I can assure you that unfortunately this isn’t AI slop

Im sorry i worded it so weirdly. The test is an IQ test mixed with some reasoning based questions to test comprehension and problems solving skills. Theres a test tailored for each age group so a 4 year old won’t take the same test as say a 15 year old. Also, going to the schools open only to those that pass the test guarantees you a small scholarship and opens doors to many larger ones. These schools have also been known have better behaving kids and little to no drugs and alcohol use in school. I do agree though that other than the scholarships, there isn’t really a point in my sister transferring schools so late.

Yes i agree wholeheartedly. A lot of the kids i went to school with passed when they were very young and their cognitive skills aren’t the same now and they were when they were younger. If anything, id support the test being retaken every few years but I feel like that would also be very stressful on the kids.
