It's because of new art style. Slowly by slowly it's growing on me but from what I heard most people feel that new art style is hollow and less vibrant. Old art style used to feel more energetic and colourful and there is issue with lining too. Anime only are disappointed that there is nothing happening in episodes. The discussion part feels less important to them, They just wanna see koji aura farm. They are used to old pacing episodes where everything end in just 3 episodes

This sub is still living in their own delusional. Many people don't like the art style and new pacing. As they have already habit of fast paced episodes. Ryeen vs koji was so hyped that time. It blowed up when it released.

Not so much mind games are going in season 4 after episode 4, It's pretty much character introduction and discussion episodes. Mains epsiodes are yet to be come.

Agree, Only reddit people are liking it. Maximum people in other platforms still prefer old art style because it looks more mature and dark

I really feel bad for cote, If we would've gotten bare minimum adaption then it would've blown up already. I am stunned that despite being terrible animation in s2 - s3 and s4 art style. It managed to stay popular

I can feel the downfall from s4 because atleast during s2 - s3, The main fight scene was well done atleast but s4 look way worse comparatively. Yeah we have better pacing now but if direction and art style aren't good then it won't work

Every great story need proper direction and animation to catch fans. Lerche is literally bad at everything. Animation is ass and hype moments are dommed. There is literally nothing good about this studio at all. Cote has great story and character cast that''s why anime adaption is popular otherwise it would've been failed long time ago

Season 1 was really good but from season 2 they literally destroyed everything

Despite being inconsistent with animation, There are still many good clips in s2 and s3 like ryeen vs koji ( in the last episode ), Yamuchi expulsion, ayonokoji getting all the praise votes, Ayonokoji dealing with kushide, Manabu vs koji in race and there are just more and more. People still use these clips and still manage to get a lot of views like 1 million

Whereas s4 is even struggling to get 100k views barely and maximum editors aren't even using s4 clips as it's not generating views. Some people even thought it as fan animation😭

I feel the same honestly. I feel really sad that s4 edits aren't even getting views and engagement. Lerche really ruined cote. They even destroyed hosen vs koji too. Only redditors appreciates s4 art style. People on social media aren't even liking it. Maximum people still feel that old art style was far better

I have been following cote since 2022 and I remember all the hype and edits that used to get easily 2 million views after each episode. The same happened during s3 too. It was really fun to read all the comments and participate in discussions with people there.
