Host Block Editor workshop for Note Takers

This issue was discussed in the Office Hours session on May 23, 2026.

Plan, host, record and publish a mandatory "Block Editor Basics" workshop on Learn WordPress. The workshop will become a required step for everyone who wants to take on the Note Taker role.

Tasks

• Outline the workshop content (headings, paragraphs, lists, basic block usage)
• Schedule a live session and announce it in Slack
• Host and record the live workshop
• Publish the recording on Learn WordPress
• Reference the recording from the onboarding documentation

Context

A recent Note Taker incident showed that publishing notes without basic Block Editor knowledge produces broken pages. A short mandatory workshop, recorded once and reused, closes this gap sustainably.
