Nacho is the Chief Operating Officer at OXCCU. He has 25 years of experience in the energy sector, covering engineering, trading, technology investments and business growth. Nacho began his career as a chemical engineer in a crude oil refinery before moving into energy trading, building on his MBA and further studies in corporate and sustainable finance. In 2017, he joined BP Ventures, becoming Managing Director and leading investments to accelerate the decarbonisation of the energy sector. He later served as Head of Cleantech for a European energy company before joining OXCCU to scale its proprietary technology.

Jane is Co-Founder and Chief Innovation and IP Officer at OXCCU, bringing 15 years of experience in innovation management, IP commercialisation, and venture building. Since co-founding the company in 2021, she served as Chief Operating Officer, scaling the company from pre-seed to Series B and growing headcount to 26 people. Following OXCCU's £20.75m Series B raise in 2025, Jane transitioned to her current role, where she leads the company's innovation and IP strategy. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge.

James has an audit background in group accounts as well as experience in preparing consolidations of significant groups. His role is to improve financial reporting clarity and reinforce systems and controls. Recent developments have been to be the accounting point of contact on a financing and restructure due diligence process, and the scoping and beginning of implementation of a new ERP solution (SAP).

A trailblazer in the science and technology of materials , Pete has made seminal contributions to the understanding of metal‑insulator transitions, high-temperature superconductivity and the properties and application of metal nanoparticles. More recently his research has focussed on sustainable energy, including pioneering methods to convert carbon dioxide and plastic waste into clean fuels. Pete is Emeritus Statutory Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of St Catherine’s College, Oxford, and has also held roles at Cambridge, Birmingham and Cornell.

James is Head of Engineering at OXCCU. With over 10 years of experience at ExxonMobil and Neste, he has worked across oil and gas process design, operations, and renewable fuels technology development. James holds an MEng from the University of Birmingham and is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with IChemE.
