The Orlando Sunflower Aid Fund is intended for any Queer Disabled adult in Orange or Seminole County who is in need of financial solidarity.
The Request Form will be open from February 15th at 12 PM to February 17th at 8 PM. The next request cycle is anticipated to be in April 2026.
You may submit one form per cycle, and may request up to $100 per form. All needs are valid, and we will not dictate or monitor how you choose to spend any funds that are granted.
Funds are granted on a first come basis, with priority given to BIPoC. We cannot guarantee that your request will be granted, as we have a limited amount of funding to distribute each request cycle. If you are denied funding in a previous cycle, your request will be prioritized in the next cycle if you choose to request again.
While some questions in this form require a response, most of the questions are voluntary to answer. The information we collect in the form assists in measuring the scope of need for our community, and helps us figure out how we can best support folks moving forward. Any information that you choose to disclose will be for internal use only and will not be shared with any outside party. Please only provide the information you feel comfortable sharing with us; feel free to leave an answer blank or type "I don't wish to disclose" where applicable.
A verification will need to be complete before funds can be dispersed. If you are selected to receive funds from us, please be prepared to have a brief call (five minutes or so) with someone from our team to verify your identity and pay information. Please include at least one active method of contact while completing this form, to ensure we can get in touch with you about next steps for verification. This step will need to be completed within a week after the request form closes. The verification step may not be required for people who include a verified reference in the form.
We care about protecting folks and want to make sure needs are met within and outside of the fund. We encourage you to uplift your needs in your form answers, including ways we can help protect your privacy, make the process more accessible, and offer more support options in the future.
If you are in need of funds outside of the request window, you may reach out to us at accesspridecoalition@gmail.com to make an urgent request for financial solidarity. Urgent requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and we cannot guarantee your request will be granted. Requesting and/or receiving urgent funding does not disqualify you from requesting from the general fund -- and vice versa.
