Bethan Catherine Watts (MRHistS., PhD, MA, BA) is a social historian specialising in childhood and domestic history. She is a member of the Royal Historical Society, as well as the Children's History Society and the Society for the Study of Childhood in the Past. Her research centrally focuses on the experiences of children in the English Middle Ages, though she has written widely about historical homes, attitudes to health, medicine and hygiene, and the daily lives of past people across history. Bethan has published three non-fiction books, numerous articles, and writes the blog A History of Childhood on Substack. She shares her research on Instagram @bethanwatts.historian.
