I had an herbalist tell me to take this for 1 month, so far I haven't noticed any difference in anything this was suppose to help for. I did read after I bought this product acts like a natural water pill. Had I known that, I would ot have bought. I already have to go to restroom due to an autoimmune disease.

Very good quality product. It's helpful in soothing digestive system and cleansing the liver, and I'm using it for that.

Powdered root comes in capsules; some swallow them with water. I prefer to empty 2 capsules in the large cap and pour the boiling water in. let it simmer, stir it once and when it cools off have it in the form of tea (2 caps; 1 in the morning, one in the evening}.

Doesn't have any strong taste when drinking, some aftertaste, so drinking sips of water after helps.

I have chronic pancreatitis and will try just about any supplement once to see if it works. I tried this supplement along with several others, and the combination worked great for my pancreatitis. If you are interested, the other supplements I used in conjunction with this one were: B-complex vitamin, Vitamin A, Vitmain E, Selenium, Grape Seed Extract (amazing), decaffinated pure green tea pills (also amazing), and a very high quality liquid fish oil. The combination worked very well for me. HOWEVER, I started having major hormonal changes. My periods were coming every 2 weeks and I was not ovulating - something that had never happened to me in my life, and I am a young adult so menopause was not the culprit. Several tests later my OBGYN could find nothing wrong, so she advised me to stop the supplements. Cycles returned to normal. I stopped them all for about 2 weeks, and then slowly began adding them back in, one at a time. I had read that Dandelion could cause hormonal fluxes so I tried that one last, and sure enough, almost like clockwork, I missed an ovulation.

Like I said, combined with the rest of my regimen, this product worked well for me in terms of calming my CP symptoms. Sometimes I would even take it alone if I felt a flare up coming. That said, I would strongly suggest starting this product slowly and keeping a close eye on your body's response. If you notice any strange hormonal changes, this product could certainly be the culprit.

I know many w/ pancreatitis issues may read this, so let me mention the 2 supplements that, even when taken alone, have been amazing at reducing my flare ups and symptoms.
