    Privilege = expecting everyone to have $700 to toss around last minute. Reality = just bc most of the school is rich doesn't own everyone is. We were on the free lunch program pre covid, before covid knocked things out worse. Maybe think abt things a little more & provide options

    It's one thing to have such a costly extracurricular but ffs at least give us time - and ideally an opportunity - to fundraise. My son will be busting it the next month at work to earn the money and we're worried he won't make it.

    Six months ago I would have been a single mom of four with no chance of my kid competing (total cost: ~$700, they're still calculating). Today I've got a kid in the hospital the last month, release date unknown. Total bs

    My son found out on Tues that he qualified for regionals at $300 deposit due today, four days later. No time or opportunity for fundraising. Talk abt privilege. It's a rich neighborhood where apparently folks keep that kind of money sitting around

    We can definitely cover the love they need and the roof over their heads, but the cost of food and vet bills as well as bedding, cages, and other needs is becoming more than our budget can handle. We need you. Please help save Rats & Crafts small animal shelter!

    In this year of mental turmoil, my oldest has been blessed by Teddy (right), a rescue from Rats & Crafts shelter. R&C is struggling financially, so oldest & I are hosting a silent auction this weekend, starting tonight at midnight EST, to raise funds.
