ar māksliniekiem Simon-Perret Joanes un Gwenn-Ael Lynn (FR), Tiago
Ribeiro Patricio (PT), Ramyah Gowrishankar un Kati Hyyppä (FI).
Mākslinieki darbojas SERDES darbnīcu un rezidenču centrā Aizputē kopš
šī gada maija starptautiska projekta „M4m“ ietvaros. Mākslinieku darbi
saistīti ar etnogrāfijas, etnobotānikas, sabiedrības un vēstures
tēmām, un veidoti īpaši Aizputes pilsētvidei.

Gwenn-Ael Lynn (FR) “Augu poēzija” - tējas ritauāls, kas
ierosmi guvis izpētē par vietējiem augiem. Speciāli šai performancei
mākslinieks veidojis īpašus keramikas traukus un koka galda
piederumus. Sadarbībā ar rezidenču kolēģi Tiago Ribeiro Patricio
tapušās tējas poēmas būs lasāmas uz keramikas traukiem.

Tiago Ribeiro Patricio (PT) – Divvalodīgās mājas. Vēstījumi uz pamesto
māju aizslēģotajiem logiem, kas rakstniekam devuši ierosmi dziļāk
pētīt pilsētas arhitektūru, vēsturi un tradīcijas. Sadarbībā ar
rezidenču mākslinieku Simon-Perret Joanes tapušas telegrammas

We invite artists, scientists, cultural heritage professionals and all interested, to join an international seminar-workshop at Interdisciplinary Arts Centre SERDE in Aizpute, Kurzeme (Courland) region of Western Latvia. The event brings together persons from various disciplines--arts, design, science, heritage--to share and explore practice and methods of ‘doing it with others’ (D.I.W.O.), as well as collaborative documentation and representational strategies including online platforms (for example Etherpad, Google Picasa, Booki).

Each invited participant was asked to prepare a short presentation, and also if they wish also, to propose a practical sharing session (1-2 hrs, demonstration of practice, ideally participatory and not so formal, inviting others present to be involved in practice). So among our suggestions include: fermentation and energy processes; rocket-stove from tin-cans; mini-museum building; and starting a food-club.

We are pleased to announce that for the Residency M4m at SERDE has been accepted Ramyah Gowrishankar (FI), Kati Hyyppä (FI), Gwenn-Ael Lynn (FR), Simon-Perret Joanes (FR), Tiago Patrício (PT) and Alice Hallynck (FR).

Residencies program is organized in the context of SERDE's contribution to the M for Mobility (M4m) programme (http://www.emobility.pro/). M4m is an artistic mobility programme facilitating encounters, exchange and common work between emerging artists and professionals from the creative and cultural world, who take part in the different steps of an art production. The aim is to professionalize this young generation by working on several European projects requiring a transdisciplinary experience.

9th INTERNATIONAL CAST IRON ART SYMPOSIUM

9th International Cast Iron Art Symposium will be held on July 5-15, 2012 at the Residency and workshop centre SERDE in Aizpute.

During the symposium we offer: the technical help and consultations, technical equipment and materials - cast iron max. 20 kg per person (for bigger object we offer cast iron for additional price), accomodation in SERDES residency centre.

During the symposium we expect the artists will take part in whole casting process and will be able to work independently for creation of casting boxes.

We do not cover - artists travel costs to and from residencies place.

Artists don't have obligation to leave some of his/her work to the residency place or organizators. All artworks belongs to authors.

The symposium fee is 300 Euro (symposium fees will cover the catering, accomodation costs and materials for up to 20kg object.)

SERDE residencies program is open for residents from 1st of May until 1st of October.
