Zum zweiten Mal war IONOS zu Gast auf der größten europäischen Digitalkonferenz re:publica in Berlin. Im Fokus stand das Panel „Turbo für Europa: Wie können souveräne Cloud-Stacks KI voranbringen?“. Jeanne Dillschneider (MdB, Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) betonte, dass europäische Souveränität echte Unabhängigkeit erfordert und eigene Stärken genutzt werden müssen, anstatt US-Modelle zu kopieren. IONOS CPO Dr. Dr. Andreas Nauerz warnte vor einem strategischen „AI Blackout“ bei Kontrollverlust über die digitale Wertschöpfungskette und forderte konkrete KI-Anwendungen in der Industrie. Dr. Michael Förtsch, CEO von Q.ANT GmbH, erklärte, dass echte digitale Souveränität zwingend „vom Chip bis zur Cloud“ gedacht werden muss. IONOS und Q.ANT tun das schon heute. Deshalb haben wir in Berlin eine strategische Partnerschaft verkündet: Ziel ist es, nachhaltiges, photonisches Computing (lichtbasierte Prozessoren) in die kommerzielle Cloud zu bringen. Diese hochinnovative Technologie reduziert den Energieverbrauch von KI-Workloads drastisch und wird zu 100 % in Europa gefertigt. Erste gemeinsame Lösungen für KI- und HPC-Anwendungen werden wir schon in diesem Sommer vorstellen.
