William Penn

William Penn (14. oktobra 1644 – 30. jula 1718) bio je sin Sir William Penna, i bio je engleski poduzetnik nekretnina, filozof, rani kveker, i osnivač engleske sjevernoameričke kolonije Provincija Pennsylvania. On je rani zagovornik demokratije i vjerske slobode,[1] poznat po dobrim odnosima i uspješnom ugovoru postignutom sa domorocima u Delawareu. Pod njegovom upravom, planirana je i razvijena Philadelphia.
