14 Tesla for new insights into the world of quantum materials: a state-of-the-art 14-Tesla measurement platform has come into operation at the Institute of Physics at the University of Augsburg. The facility enables experiments under extreme conditions and opens up new insights into the physical fundamentals of future technologies.

DFG funds Augsburg research on the environmental history of antiquity

The ancient historian PD Dr. Dr. Christopher Schliephake explores how ancient societies regulated the use of natural resources and particularly the role of religious ideas played in this context. The German Research Foundation (DFG) is funding the new project at the University of Augsburg on the environmental history of ancient Greece. The three-year project will receive around 240,000 euros.
