I understand it’s Dunleavy’s job to be positive going into the season, but if I were him, I wouldn’t made comparisons to last years 37-win team. This year, 37 wins might be a bridge too far.

Putting my own feelings aside – I think the NBA would disagree with you. They seem pretty gung ho about this Europe league and were from the jump. How much of it is propped up by prediction markets/shadow pay roll investors/ underground gambling? I couldn’t say. Certainly some but I would assume not nearly enough.

As for hanging on to the old timers, I think you have that backwards. It’s pretty clear that the old timers are holding on to the NBA because it’s an easy platform. You get free advertising every single day if you’re notable enough.

Excited about the last couple drafts. Wemby is already the “face of the league” and seen the Finals. I’m betting the farm on the frenchman.
