Biography:

Christopher Reeve was an American actor, director, and activist. He became widely known for playing Superman in four films, beginning with Superman in 1978. He later directed films and advocated for research and support related to spinal cord injuries. He also appeared in a pair of episodes of the 2001 series "Smallville," portraying Dr. Virgil Swann, his final acting role.
