LWUIT for Series 40 - LWUIT for Series 40

This project contains a Series 40 port of the popular Light Weight UI Toolkit (LWUIT). With LWUIT you can create Java applications that have a richer user interface including transitions and animations.

LWUIT for Series 40 v1.0

LWUIT for Series 40 provides several style, theming, functional and performance improvements to LWUIT. It supports Nokia SDK 1.1 and 2.0 for Java to develop applications for Series 40 5th Edition and newer devices with both keyboard and touch user interface.

To get the productised v1.0 package with new documentation into the Nokia SDK 2.0 for Java, check for updates in the SDK Manager. Developers wanting immediate access to latest LWUIT binaries or source can still follow the upcoming updates in the project pages.

We will continue our work to improve the features and performance of LWUIT for Series 40. We encourage you to participate in the project discussion or write a ticket to report of any bugs or improvement ideas.
