The Texas Education Agency is developing a new accountability system based on the STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) tests as well as other indicators. Information is available at the 2013 Accountability Development site.

Note that no state accountability ratings will be assigned in 2012.

The Multi-Year District ratings show the accountability ratings for districts and all schools within the district for 2004 through 2011. The Multi-Year Statewide ratings show a statewide count of districts and schools in each rating category, including summaries of the acknowledgments.

From this website you can also access accountability ratings from the former system, for 1994 to 2002. (No new ratings were assigned in 2003):
