Eminem’s “Relapse” Album Leaks On Internet

Two weeks before the official release date, Eminem’s “Relapse” has been leaked on the Internet, sending Eminem fans into a downloading frenzy. See details on the leak, photos and video here.

Eminem

It is inevitable that a highly anticipated album such as “Relapse” is going to leak before the official release date. And considering, twelve days pre-release isn’t so terrible. The leak includes snippets of tracks and a clip from his upcoming “Crack A Bottle” music video.

From what I hear, “Relapse” album is going to dominate the charts, with music critics predicting at least 400,000 albums sold in the first week of release. Even though the sales of albums have declined significantly since Eminem’s last record, one thing that hasn’t changed are Eminem’s controversial lyrics.

On one track, called “Insane”, Em’s raps get extremely graphic as he jokes about getting molested by his step dad. And apparently Eminem still has issues with his rumored ex Mariah Carey as he disses her and her new husband Nick Cannon on the track “Bagpipes from Baghdad”. Or how about “My Mom,” which has Eminem once again ripping on his mother and her alleged drug binges? Hardcore lyrics, impressive beats and interesting collaborations are sure to satisfy Eminem fans.

So despite the “leak” and the opportunity to download, will you buy Eminem’s “Relapse”?

The album is comprised of covers of eleven classic soul hits and was produced by David Foster. The album’s lead single is Seal’s cover of the iconic Sam Cooke ‘A Change Is Gonna Come.’

Oprah Winfrey said her impetus for getting the soul singer on her show was that in hearing him sing one of the classic hits from the album, ‘Soul’ she got so involved in the music while driving that she missed her turn and drove into an embankment.

Paula Abdul is now denying that she had an addiction to prescription painkillers. Read more and see photos and video below.

Paula Abdul

Despite revealing to the Ladies’ Home Journal that she battled an addiction to prescription painkillers, Paula Abdul is now refuting those claims, citing the magazine as taking her words “out of context”.

Today Abdul told Detroit radio station WKQI,

“It was very stressful for me to hear that and to be quoted saying something I’ve never said. I’ve never checked into a rehab clinic, I’ve never been addicted or abused drugs and I’ve never been addicted or abused alcohol. I’ve never been drunk in my life.”

Instead, Paula is stating that her trip to the La Costa Resort and Spa was to indulge in “mud baths and facials” and not to detox herself from drugs.

The Ladies’ Home Journal interview quoted Abdul as saying,

“I could have killed myself…. Withdrawal — it’s the worst thing. I was freezing cold, then sweating hot, then chattering and in so much pain, it was excruciating. But at my very core, I did not like existing the way I had been.”

While she has openly shared the pain she went through with injuries and accidents in the past, the story of addiction still remains unclear.

Taylor Hicks

Taylor Hicks’ Seven Mile Breakdown video is in support of Hicks’ sophomore album that has been created under his own label Modern Whomp Records. Despite being dropped by Arista Records, Hicks, winner of the fifth season of “American Idol”, is proud of where he is today.

About his sophomore effort, Hicks says,

“I had 100% creative control over this record because it is under my own record label. For me, it is the direction I wanted to go now and for future records.”

The route Hicks has decided to go independently is one that may shock his fans. Known for his soul style, Taylor has stemmed away a bit from his first album by paying tribute to his Southern roots with a little bit of country combined with a little bit of rock.

Taylor told Popeater.com,

“This record and the song ['Seven Mile Breakdown'] really represent who I am as an artist. The country rock and blues side of me. I’m from Alabama, so there is definitely some country origins in my background both musically and personally.”
