    Lakers are Last Team Standing

    Steve Levinson, executive producer of HBO's Entourage which is now in its fourth season, helped the Lakers hold off a late Hawks rally to win the 2007 NBAE League Championship, 65-63 on March 31. Aaron Courseault (27 points, 10 rebounds) was named MVP for the game. The game kicked off the Super Saturday festivities that saw Nana Gbewonyo named league MVP, Percy Daggs III win Rookie of the Year and Brandon Routh receive the first-ever Sportsmanship Award. The East beat the West 82-62 in the All-Star game, and Cylk Cozart beat Michael Westphal in the finals of the Three-Point Shootout.

    Several members of the NBAE League teamed up with Mavericks players Jerry Stackhouse and Jason Terry and owner Mark Cuban for the Dallas All-Star Celebrity Slam Jam.

    The NBAE LEAGUE tipped off its new season in style with a party to honor the 2005-06 Champion Spurs and to announce the new rookies and roster changes taking place for 2006-07.
