COMPATIBLE: Track Changes in Documents

As soon as you switch on the new Track Changes feature, TextMaker records all changes made to a document. Deleted text appears struck through, text additions are displayed underlined.

If you let a colleague or superior review this document, he or she can accept or reject your changes one by one. It doesn't even matter if such a document is then edited with TextMaker or Microsoft Word: all tracked changes are equally visible in both word processors.

TextMaker's new comments feature is just as compatible: Comments and annotations now appear as balloons in the right page margin – just like in Word 2003.

COMPATIBLE: AutoShapes like in Microsoft Word

TextMaker 2005 offers a complete set of drawing functions that let you create arbitrary geometric shapes, freehand drawings, and insert symbols from its vast symbols library into your documents.

You can format drawings with a huge selection of fill patterns, color gradients, drop shadows, lighting effects, borders etc., and you can also rotate, mirror, flip and otherwise reshape them.

Even better: All such drawing objects are AutoShapes that can be transferred back and forth to Microsoft Word with 100% accuracy.

The TextArt feature, too, is fully compatible with Microsoft WordArt.

Better proofing tools: TextMaker comes with advanced proofing tools – the German government's commission on the German language preferred TextMaker's spell-checker over all other word processors!

But TextMaker doesn't limit itself to the German language: it comes with spelling dictionaries in 17 languages, synonym dictionaries in ten, and reliable automatic hyphenation in 29 different languages. It even includes a five-language translation dictionary.
