Main Page
from Wikinfo, an internet encyclopedia
Wikinfo, or Internet-Encyclopedia, is a project to create a universal open content encyclopedia. The site was launched in July, 2003. So far, there are 17941 Wikinfo articles, with Wikipedia articles available via XML import. Wikinfo is a wiki: visit the help page and experiment in the sandbox to learn how you can edit any article. Inspired by Wikipedia, Wikinfo is different in a number of ways, notably, in editorial policy. Here, the main article on a subject is written from a sympathetic point of view; another difference is that Internet-Encyclopedia is much more tolerant of a number of things Wikipedia is not. For more information, see How Internet-Encyclopedia differs from Wikipedia and why - Internet-Encyclopedia:Editing priorities - Start a new page. This page is being rewritten at Main Page/Temp.
- Blue Links take you to Wikinfo articles.
- Green Links take you to imported Wikipedia articles you can edit, or empty articles you can create.
- Mauve Links take you to external websites and other resources.
- Problems you may encounter are listed at known bugs.
- "Its real purpose - its only true purpose - is to explore the unknown."
