The Twilight Saga: New Moon is a 2009 American vampire romantic fantasy movie based on the book, New Moon, one of the Twilight saga books by Stephenie Meyer. It is the second movie to be made about the teenage vampires, the first being Twilight. The movie, directed by Chris Weitz, stars Kristen Stewart as Bella, and Robert Pattinson as Edward.[4] Filming for the third movie in the series, Eclipse, started before New Moon was finished.[4]

In the USA the movie made $140.7 million on its opening weekend.[5] In Australia, the movie set the record for the most money on an opening weekend with AU$16.01 million, or more than one million tickets.[5]
